SPECIAL MUSIC MEETING today after Sunday School.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY We will be taking pictures for a new congregational pictorial directory beginning this Wednesday, 6-9 p.m. There is a schedule of dates and times available on the round table in the Narthex for you to choose when you would like your photo taken.

LWML meets this Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All ladies of the congregation are invited to attend.

OVER-50 GOOD SHEPHERDS will gather in the Fellowship Hall this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. for games, food, fellowship, and fun.

YOUTH SWIM PARTY The Youth Group have been invited to a Swim Party with lunch at the Wacker home next Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Call Lacy R., or Lora W., to RSVP.

CROSSLINES SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST On the round table in the narthex is a list of school supplies that Crosslines is asking for to help fill the needs of school children whose families need support. Please place your donations in the round bin in the narthex, or in the shopping cart downstairs by the fellowship hall doors. Thank you, your help is always very appreciated!

VOTERS’ MEETING It has been decided that we will return to having two Sunday morning services beginning Sept. 1st.

MONDAY EVENING WORSHIP If you are unable to attend church on Sunday morning, there is another worship opportunity at 6:30 pm. on Monday evenings. This is also a service with Holy Communion.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace. We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.

FLOWER CHART If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.

VBS/KINGDOM ROCK “WHERE KIDS STAND STRONG FOR GOD” was a huge success. We thank EVERYONE who helped make it happen!

VOTERS’ MEETING This evening at 7:00 the voters will meet to discuss and vote on church matters. Along with other business, the voters’ assembly will decide to either stay with one service or return to two worship services in the fall. All GSLC members, 18 years and older, are eligible to be a part of the voters’ assembly.

BAPTIZED YESTERDAY We rejoice with Sal R. & Brandi M. whose newborn son, Braxton Malik, son, Brandon R., age 14, and daughter, Ashley V., age 12, were baptized yesterday during our worship service. Braxton’s sponsors are Steven M. and Brookelyn M. Brandon and Ashley’s sponsors are Oswaldo V. and Brookelyn M. We pray for blessings on these children and their family.

VBS/KINGDOM ROCK “WHERE KIDS STAND STRONG FOR GOD” began yesterday at 5:30, and runs through Thursday evening July 25. A light dinner is offered each evening at 5:30. This year’s VBS offerings will go toward playground equipment for the church.

VBS KICKOFF This afternoon is the kickoff for VBS at the Carthage City Park and Pool. We will start at 4:00 pm. Kiddieland will be open and we will enjoy eating some ice cream, playing some games, and of course, swimming. Bring along your lawn chairs and come enjoy some fun at the park.

CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING this evening at 7:00 pm.

SURVEY The Board of Elders is taking a survey about the interest in continuing to have one worship service on Sunday morning after September when we are scheduled to return to two services. If you have not yet done so, please take the time to share your thoughts. Survey sheets are on the table in the narthex. The results of the survey will be shared with the Church Council meeting this evening.
