THURSDAY AM BIBLE STUDY AND FELLOWSHIP Ever thought about joining the Bible Study, led by Pastor, held on Thursday mornings? Now is a good time, because we just began studying the New Testament Book of Acts on April 4. Please join us in the fellowship hall for this informal, but always informative, study of God’s word. Class begins at 9:30 after coffee, goodies and some fellowship.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

FLOWER CHART If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace. We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.

OUR THANKS to everyone who helped with the Easter Services, breakfast and special activities for our children.  You are greatly appreciated.

BAPTISM TODAY  We rejoice with Hans & Laura D., who’s son, Jasper Cole, will be baptized in the late service this morning.  Jasper was born Feb. 19, 2013.  His sponsors are Joni S. and Lars D.  His maternal grandparents are Greg & Caryn D.  We pray for continued blessings on Jasper and his family.

LOVE OFFERING  At the Easter Breakfast this morning the LWML will not be asking for a free will offering, but we will be taking up a love offering which will go to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Kansas City.  Rev. Brad Zerkel, a past member of Good Shepherd, is their Pastor.  The church was heavily damaged by a fire several months ago.

LWML MEETING  The LWML will have their monthly meeting this Tuesday evening at 6:30.  Hostess will be Mary P., who will also have the topic. Devotion will be led by Rhonda Nicholas.  All ladies of the congregation are invited.

YOUTH GROUP RUMMAGE SALE  Sat., April 6, the Youth will be having their rummage sale at the church trailer.  It will begin at 7:00 am.  All proceeds will go to help fund the Youth Group attending the National Gathering in TX in July. 

LWML BAKE SALE  The April LWML mission project is to have a bake sale that coincides with the Youth rummage sale on Saturday, and then to donate all proceeds to the Youth for their trip.  Not a member of the LWML but would like to help out by making something?  Please feel free.  The more items we can offer for sale, the better.  Ladies, please have your items to the church by 1:00 pm on Friday or before 7:00 am on Sat.  Thank you.

CHOIR PRACTICE will be held after the late service each Sunday this month until Easter.

ELDERS’ MEETING  The Elders will meet this Monday evening at 7:00 pm. 

LADIES’ NIGHT OUT WITH AN IRISH FLAIR  It’s all happening this evening at 5:00 pm.  Entertainment will be Bill Lasley playing piano and telling stories.  Lots of great food, plus some door prizes! 

MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICES end this week Wednesday.  Join us at 11:00 am or at 7:00 pm for these special services.

EASTER LILIES  If you would like to purchase one or more lilies to help adorn our sanctuary on Easter, please use the sign up sheet in the narthex.  The cost is $8.00 each.  Please pay Diana E. 

BOOK SALE  Martin Luther School in Joplin is having a book sale on Thursday, March 21, from 5:00–8:00 pm.  All proceeds go for a school trip.  You may also donate books to the cause.  A collection box is located in the Narthex.  Contact Rhonda Nicholas for more information. 

RECYCLE YOUR BULLETIN  Under the round table in the narthex we have provided a container that you can put your used bulletin in for recycling.  Thank you.
