OUR THANKS to everyone who helped with the Easter Services, breakfast and special activities for our children. You are greatly appreciated.
BAPTISM TODAY We rejoice with Hans & Laura D., who’s son, Jasper Cole, will be baptized in the late service this morning. Jasper was born Feb. 19, 2013. His sponsors are Joni S. and Lars D. His maternal grandparents are Greg & Caryn D. We pray for continued blessings on Jasper and his family.
LOVE OFFERING At the Easter Breakfast this morning the LWML will not be asking for a free will offering, but we will be taking up a love offering which will go to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Kansas City. Rev. Brad Zerkel, a past member of Good Shepherd, is their Pastor. The church was heavily damaged by a fire several months ago.
LWML MEETING The LWML will have their monthly meeting this Tuesday evening at 6:30. Hostess will be Mary P., who will also have the topic. Devotion will be led by Rhonda Nicholas. All ladies of the congregation are invited.
YOUTH GROUP RUMMAGE SALE Sat., April 6, the Youth will be having their rummage sale at the church trailer. It will begin at 7:00 am. All proceeds will go to help fund the Youth Group attending the National Gathering in TX in July.
LWML BAKE SALE The April LWML mission project is to have a bake sale that coincides with the Youth rummage sale on Saturday, and then to donate all proceeds to the Youth for their trip. Not a member of the LWML but would like to help out by making something? Please feel free. The more items we can offer for sale, the better. Ladies, please have your items to the church by 1:00 pm on Friday or before 7:00 am on Sat. Thank you.
THURSDAY AM BIBLE STUDY AND FELLOWSHIP Ever thought about joining the Bible Study, led by Pastor, held on Thursday mornings? Now is a good time because we will begin studying the New Testament Book of Acts on April 4. Please join us in the fellowship hall for this informal, always informative study of God’s word. Class begins at 9:30 after coffee, goodies and some fellowship.
SURVEY If you have not yet taken the survey about our summer worship schedule, you can still do so. The sheets are on the round table in the narthex. Please put your completed survey sheet in the blue box on the table.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
FLOWER CHART There are lots of empty dates on the calendar. If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.
