WISHIN’ TO GO A FISHIN’ Here’s your chance for some great family time along with some great fishing time. A “family campout” is planned for May 31-June 2 at Dale & Leann B.s’ property south of Lockwood. There is a large stocked pond with room to camp for the night. Contact Dale with any questions.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL On June 2 we will begin a brand new summer Sunday School session entitled, Living Inside Out. Along with new material, we’re looking for new teachers. As more of a team approach is embraced for the summer session, you won’t be alone in a classroom, and taking a family vacation won’t cause a pinch. EVENT TO HELP OUR REDEEMER IN K.C. Pastor Zerkel’s congregation, Our Redeemer, is having an International Food Tasting & Auction Event on May 31 to benefit their fire relief and Christian Education Fund. Tickets are $30. For more information talk to Pastor or call 816-241-2334.

SOFTBALL Come and enjoy the game of softball. The co-ed team plays Monday at 7:30 and the men play Tuesday at 7:30.

JR. CONFIRMATION is Sunday, May 26, at 10:45 a.m.

SUMMER WORSHIP We have one worship service on Sunday starting June 2 at 9:00 am. Sunday School and Bible Class will be at 10:30 am. If you are unable to attend on Sunday morning, there will be another worship opportunity on Monday evening at 6:30.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

FLOWER CHART If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace. We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.

SPECIAL MUSIC MEETING is at noon today.

LWML SPRING RALLY Anyone interested in car pooling to the Rally this afternoon in Shell Knob, please meet at the church at 1:00 pm. The Rally begins at 3:00 pm. The theme is God is my Refuge and Strength. Guest speaker will be Lt. Darren Gallup. The ingathering for the Rally is non-perishable food items and paper products for the Shell Knob Food Bank. Like to donate, please leave your items in the narthex on the round table.

LWML MONTHLY MEETING On Tuesday evening the LWML will meet at 6:30 pm. Brenda Kirn is the hostess and Nan Borg will have the devotion and the topic. All ladies of the congregation are invited.

OVER-50 GOOD SHEPHERDS will meet this Thursday evening at 6:00. Bring something to eat and join the fun.

CHURCH WORK DAY The board of trustees have set a date for the spring work day here at the church. It will be next Saturday, May 11, beginning at 8:00 am. All able bodies and hands are needed.

CARTHAGE BRIGHT FUTURES In the coming weeks you will have the opportunity to donate to the Bright Futures backpack program for school age children. A flyer explaining the program and the specific foods needed is available. Any questions, please ask Nicole B.
