† SPECIAL VOTERS’ MEETING JULY 17  A special Voters meeting will take place following the service on July 17^th to vote on an extension of Pastor Mackie’s Intentional Interim Pastor contract.

† VBS HELP NEEDED  Nicole B. will be getting most of this year’s VBS set from a church in Joplin.  She is in need of someone who has an  enclosed trailer to go with her to transport all of the background pieces to Good Shepherd.  If you would be able to help with this please contact Nicole, it would be greatly appreciated.

† TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME  The Shepherd’s Own will sing the National Anthem at the Northwest Arkansas Naturals game on Friday, July 15.  The game starts at 7:05 pm and the opponent is the Springfield Cardinals.  Tickets are $7.00 each.  They will have post-game fireworks. † SUMMER WORSHIP  For the summer months, we will have one worship service on Sunday and it will begin at 9:00 am.  Sunday School and Bible class will be at 10:30 am.

† LYF FIREWORKS STAND  Good Shepherd’s Youth Group is running a fireworks stand at 1200 Briarbrook, across from Casey’s, in Carl Junction, as a fundraiser for the 2016 National Youth Gathering.  It is open today and tomorrow.  There are flyers with coupons on the information table in the narthex.  If you haven’t had a chance to buy your fireworks, please come and support the LYF’s stand!

† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERINGS  For the first couple of quarters in 2016, both the adult and the children’s Sunday School offerings will be going to Children’s Haven in Joplin.  If you have been monitoring our progress by watching our bulletin board downstairs you will have noticed that we are almost to our $1,000 goal.  Just one more gingerbread kid to go! Thanks so much for your support of this project!

† VBS REGISTRATION  Vacation Bible School will be held July 24 – 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with a light dinner at 5:30 pm each evening.  There are  registration forms on the round table in the narthex.  Please, make sure to fill out a registration form if you are participating or helping and include your t-shirt size so Nicole can order the shirts soon.  You can use one sheet for multiple members in a family if you want, but be sure to include all their shirt sizes.

† NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING BIBLE STUDY  The Bible Study this evening at 7:00 pm for the youth going to the National Gathering, will be held at their fireworks stand in Carl Junction.

† FLOWER CHART  Our flower fund is running low and there are several empty dates coming up on the calendar for the next few months.  If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall by the water fountain.  If you would rather help out by making a small donation to the flower fund that would also be greatly appreciated.

† GUEST WORSHIP LEADER  It is wonderful to have Mr. Jerry Hemmingson, a member of Immanuel Lutheran, Joplin and a candidate to become an LCMS pastor, and his wife here today.  Thank you, Mr. Hemmingson, for leading the service today.

† BAPTISM  We rejoice with Lars and Abbi D. at the baptism of their son, Otto Paul D., after the service this morning.  Otto was born February 6, 2016.  His Sponsors are Kristen B. and AJ S. God be with this family as they grow in His grace and love.

† VOTERS’ MEETING RESULTS  There was a Special Voters’ Meeting held on June 5 following the service.  With a quorum present, the voters resolved to adopt the resolution to the constitution and the ministry description.
