† WEDNESDAY MORNING SCRIPTURE STUDY will not meet this Wednesday, November 2.

† HOBO DINNER  This year’s Hobo Dinner is tonight at 5:00 pm.  There will be a prize for the best hobo costume and for the best carved/decorated/painted pumpkin.  Please remember to bring along something pre-cooked to add to the stew pot.  There is also a sign up sheet on the round table in the narthex for some of the extra items needed.  Hope to see everyone at this fun annual fall event!

† LWML Fall Rally  The Fall Rally of the LWML Southwest Zone will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at Zion, Rockville.  Registration begins at 9:30 am.  The theme of the Rally is “God’s Love is For Everyone”.  Check your November newsletter for more details.  All ladies (and men) are encouraged to attend.

† SOCKTOBER  Don’t forget to support the LYF’s community service project  by adding to the collection bins in the narthex or downstairs.  We ask that members donate cold weather items such as socks, gloves, scarves, hats, and sweaters as well as toiletry items such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and fluoride rinse.  At the end of the month of October, the youth will deliver these donations to Children’s Haven.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING  Starting in September and going through the end of the year, Sunday School offerings, both the adult and the children’s, are being designated to Immanuel Lutheran’s Comfort Dog Team’s fund for medical expenses.  Our previous goal for Children’s Haven was $1,000 and we achieved that goal.  Let’s see if we can exceed that amount this time!  Thanks so much for your support of this project.

† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.

† ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a  transistor radio and you can control the volume.

† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the       service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure    readings.

† NURSERY/CRY ROOM  Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use.  Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.
