BAPTIZED YESTERDAY We rejoice with Sal R. & Brandi M. whose newborn son, Braxton Malik, son, Brandon R., age 14, and daughter, Ashley V., age 12, were baptized yesterday during our worship service. Braxton’s sponsors are Steven M. and Brookelyn M. Brandon and Ashley’s sponsors are Oswaldo V. and Brookelyn M. We pray for blessings on these children and their family.
VBS/KINGDOM ROCK “WHERE KIDS STAND STRONG FOR GOD” began yesterday at 5:30, and runs through Thursday evening July 25. A light dinner is offered each evening at 5:30. This year’s VBS offerings will go toward playground equipment for the church.
VOTERS’ MEETING Next Sunday evening at 7:00 the voters will meet to discuss and vote on church matters. Along with other business, the voters’ assembly will decide to either stay with one service or return to two worship services in the fall. All GSLC members, 18 years and older, are eligible to be a part of the voters’ assembly.
PICTORIAL DIRECTORY We will soon begin to take pictures for a new congregational pictorial directory. There will be a schedule of dates and times available in August next Sunday for you to choose when you would like your photo taken.
NEW LWML QUARTERLYS are on the table in the narthex. Please take one. It is a wonderful source for Bible study and has articles of life experiences written by women of faith.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace. We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.
FLOWER CHART If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.
