† COMFORT IN SORROW  This Thursday, Dec. 18, at 6:30 pm, Pastor and Earl invite those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one to join them for a special evening that will include devotion and prayer, learning about the phases of grief, and comfort from God’s Word.  It will be a time of getting together to encourage one another and build each other up!  If you feel you could benefit  from this, please join us!

† EVERGREEN LUTHERAN SCHOOL (LCMS) is situated in the midst of a low income, high crime area of Detroit, MI.  The lives of the children who attend Evergreen are often touched by bullying, intimidation, and gang violence. Evergreen Lutheran School provides Christian Education in a safe and caring environment.  GSLC Sunday School offerings are now going to support this unique inner city ministry.

† WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS DINNER  All Good Shepherd women are invited to a Christmas party this evening, at 5 pm, at Rollins Creek Clubhouse (east end of Fairview).  Dinner will be served and entertainment provided by the CHS show choir!  We will reveal our Secret Sisters with a gift and anyone can play the ornament exchange game if you bring a wrapped ornament!  Please RSVP on the narthex table so we can plan seating and food.  Questions: Contact Jennifer S.

† CHRISTMAS CAROLING  Lutheran Youth Fellowship will be hosting a congregational Christmas caroling evening on Monday, Dec. 22, at 5:00 pm.  There will be hot chocolate and cookies for everyone to share.  Come and join in warming the hearts of others this season!

† THE FUMBLY, BUMBLY ANGELS  OurSunday School Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 21, at 7:00 pm.  Rehearsal will be held during the Sunday School hour today.  Along with Sunday School time, there will be  rehearsals after the late service today and on December 21.  Help your children get excited about being involved.  It is a wonderful and fun way for them to learn about and spread the news of Jesus’ birth!

† OFFERING ENVELOPES  The 2015 offering envelopes are on the table in the narthex.  Please remember to discard your 2014 envelopes and use only the 2015 envelopes beginning in January.  If you do not see your name and want envelopes, please contact the church office.  Likewise, if you prefer not to use them and see your name, simply write NO on the label.

† INVITATION POSTCARDS  Due to a special donation, a special postcard will be mailed to many people in the area around the church inviting them to our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services.  If you see someone you don’t recognize, welcome them warmly; they may be one of our neighbors.
