† IN OUR PRAYERS  Leah E., the C.’s granddaughter, dealing with Thyroid Cancer; Micki B., recovering after surgery; Mark K., Megan M.’s dad,  undergoing rehab; Jim B., undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer;  Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SISTERS IN CHRIST  Please join our ladies gathering on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.  This is a time for sharing, caring, studying and praying – together, with each other and God.  We want you to be included in this beautiful sisterhood.

† ROCK –  ROLLING OUT CHRIST’S KINGDOM continues every Wednesday night through July 23 starting at 6:00 pm for dinner, small group bible study, and fun.  The activities conclude at 7:00 pm.  There will be a 2 week break and then ROCK will resume on August 13.  Come and join the fun!

† VBS – EPIC AUSTRALIAN ADVENTURE is scheduled for Sunday, July 27 through  Thursday, July 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  There will be a dinner served each evening at 5:00 pm.  Also, please plan to join us for our VBS Kick-off celebration on Sunday, July 27 during the Sunday School hour.  Students can still register by completing the printed form in the Narthex.  Or you may register at https://vbsmate.com/events/gslcarthage/30913. † VBS DONATIONS  Last year, during VBS, we were able to feed more than 50 students and volunteers each evening.  We would like to continue the dinner and fellowship this year!  If you would like to contribute to this project, please check the table in the narthex for a list of supplies needed as well as small  envelopes for cash donations.  We appreciate your help!

† ANNUAL PICNIC  St. John’s Lutheran Church in Purdy will have it’s annual picnic on Friday, July 18, at 6:00 pm.  For more information check out the flyer on the round table the in the narthex.

† TREASURER NOTE  For the six months ended June 30, our paid expenses totaled $118,791 while our income totaled $116,804, leaving us with a deficit of $1,987.  Our budgeted income and expense year to date is $121,871.
