The Evangelism Committee is giving the visitors at our worship services a Good Shepherd cup as a welcome gift.

Men’s Retreat

Pack a tent or bring your RV, and join the guys for their annual camping retreat, May 15-17th.  This year the men will be using the camping facilities at the River Ranch Resort on the Elk River in Noel, MO.  Along with spiritual renewal, and great fellowship, physical fun guy stuff is also available.  Some of the accessible activities include: canoeing, fishing, rafting and miniature golf.

Contact Sonny E. for more detailed information and to get signed up for food donations.  The total costs, depending on how many will attend, will be approximately $30.00.  There is a sign up sheet in the narthex if you are interested in attending.

No RV or tent?  Don’t let that keep you at home.  Room can be made for you to bunk with someone else.  Just don’t miss out on this great weekend!

Volunteer to Help

Work on the expansion of the church building is progressing well.  The footings and the foundations have been poured and work has begun on getting the steel supports up and the floors poured.  When this phase of the project is completed, we will begin the wood construction of the building.  That’s when the need for volunteer help will be the greatest.

We have a sign up sheet in the narthex for you to let us know you can help.  You do not need to be skilled in any area, just willing to help out where you can.  Some volunteer work will be done during the week, but most of it will be done on Saturdays.

Mike Q. has agreed to serve as the “go between” between the Laborers and us.  They will keep him informed of what needs to be done and how many they need to help.  He will then inform us so we know when and how to help.

Volunteers will also be needed to provide a morning snack during the week and a light lunch on Saturday.  You will be hearing more about that in the next few weeks.  We still need someone to coordinate the food, so if you would like to help in that way, let us know at the church office, 358-1325.
