ANNUAL EASTER BREAKFAST  Thank you to all who brought food,  helped with serving, setting up and the inevitable clean up.

THANK YOU, PASTOR JOHNS!  Pastor Johns, because of having eye surgery, is not able to play the organ for us anymore.  We want to thank him for sharing his talent with us these past months and ask God’s blessing of healing for him.

KID KITS  On the nursery wall in the narthex are a number of bags containing crayons, coloring books, picture books and other items of interest for young children.  You are welcome to use them for your little ones.  Please return the “kid kit” after the service.

LWML MEETING  The ladies meet in the fellowship hall this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for their regular meeting.  There are always important things to talk about and to do for the mission of our Lord, so ladies, join us for our Lutheran Women’s Missionary League meeting.

OVER-50 GOOD SHEPHERDS meet this Thursday evening at 6:00 for an evening of food and games.  Come, especially if you haven’t been before.  You don’t join anything, just show up with something to eat and enjoy the fellowship.

COUNCIL MEETING  The Church Council meets next Sunday evening at 7:00.

THE ELEVATOR  The elevator is installed and we are waiting for the state inspection before it can be used.  Hopefully that will happen this week.

PRAYER BEARS  Please help us with our Prayer Bear program by donating stuffed bears.  They need not be new, but they need to be clean and in good condition.  You can place them in the Share a Bear box in the narthex.  You will be hearing more about this program in the next few weeks.

GOLFERS  If you are interested in playing in a Lutheran (Good Shepherd and Immanuel) golf league, please contact Mary at the church office (358-1325).  It will be a mixed league with two person teams.

HAPPY 100th  You’re invited to a birthday reception April 10th, from 3-5 pm., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Monett, to honor Elna Z., who turns 100 years old today.  Mrs. Z. is Karen P.’ grandmother, Shelley W. and Dusty P.’ great grandmother, and Emmalee and Laney W.’s great-great-grandmother.  God bless you, Elna.

PORTALS OF PRAYER devotional booklets are available in the narthex.  You are welcome to take one home with you.

BLOOD PRESSURE  The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse’s office located off the narthex.  You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.

TAPES & CDS OF THE SERVICE  Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 a.m. service each Sunday.  They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.  The previous Sunday’s are also available.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.
