Lay Assistant

Earl Kirn is retiring from his counseling service and will be using some of his free time to help out at the church.

After discussions with the Board of Elders and Pastor, he will be helping more with the worship services as a Lay Worship Assistant, give some added leadership to selected programs of the congregation, assist in visitation and make available to the congregation his skills as a licensed counselor.

For the time being, he will be working as a volunteer, but the Board of Elders is discussing how this might become a more permanent position.

Earl will use the desk set up in the office closest to the narthex and start spending some time here at the church starting in December.

We really appreciate Earl’s willingness to give of his time and abilities in this way and are looking forward to how God will bless his expanded involvement with the congregation.
