70 & Over Dinner

—It’s a Winter Wonderland—

An Annual Youth Group Event, January 27, 5:00 pm

All members (and their spouses) that are 70 years of age and over are invited to attend this annual dinner prepared and served especially for them by the Youth Group.  Not only will they be waited on and served a wonderful meal, they will be entertained, too.

So, folks, watch for our personal invitation from the Youth Group.  Need a ride or the meal delivered to your home?  That can be provided ~ just relay that to any member of the Youth Group or let the church office know.

This special event is always a lot of fun for both the younger members and the older members.  We hope you can attend!

Bible 101 – Online Bible Study

Bible 101 is an online Bible study from Concordia Publishing House where you enter a personal online learning experience.  You start out by looking at essential Bible basics and then build upon that as you progress through the course.  You can go through each session at your own pace and when you have time.

The sessions are fresh and relevant.  It uses resources such as videos, assignments, quizzes, online discussion, podcasts and more.

There is no software to download and no need for special equipment.  A basic computer with access to the Internet is all that’s needed to start learning.  You have unlimited access to the course, so you can go back through the sessions again if you want.

If you have been reading through the Bible this year, this is an excellent course to sublimate your readings.

This is how it works:

*  Go to www.cph.org

*  Click on Bible Studies on the Education link

*  Click on Bible 101 under Bible Studies (left of page)

*  Login with:

Username:  goodshepherd@ecarthage.com

Password:  Gslc101#

*  You begin your journey by starting with Session 1

We hope you will enjoy this study in this new format.  Of course, Pastor is always available if you have questions.  Let us know how it goes.
