† THIS MORNING three of our young members will publicly confess  their faith through the Rite of Confirmation during the late service.  They are:

Jesse Paul H., who is the son of Jennifer W., stepson of Adam W., and grandson of Linda B.  Jesse’s confirmation verse is “God so loved the world, that he gave his only   Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have   eternal life.” John 3:16

“I chose this verse because it helps me remember that God sacrificed his only son to save us from our sins.  I trust in him to give me eternal life like this verse promises.  When I read this verse out of the Bible it makes me think how I can help others  believe in God like I believe in God.  It also reminds me of a    country song verse that says I learned all I need to know from John 3:16.”  (Jesse H.)

Emma Grace N., who is the daughter of Mary N.  Emma’s confirmation verse is “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.” Psalm 40:3

I chose this verse because I believe singing hymns is one of the best ways to worship God. Also because we should fear God, but we also should trust him and love him. We should trust him because he loves us and we are in his arms.” (Emma N.)

Lydia Ruth Lucia N., who is the daughter of John & Rhonda N.  Lydia’s confirmation verse is “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.”  Romans 12:9

“The reason I picked Romans 12:9 to be my verse was because it shows us how to live, not only helping us get a basic instruction for our life but giving an instruction on how to live a more in depth life in God.  This verse doesn’t just tell us what we should do but it states what we shouldn’t do and creates a brief understanding of how Jesus lived and how we can be like him.  Why live this good life?  Well, God wants us to live this ‘good’ life because he first loved us, and out of this love, he sent his son to save us, that    we wouldn’t be too caught up and drowned on our own sin but   instead we would be focusing on him and how he wants us to live.”  (Lydia N.)

We thank God for them and ask Him to bless their public confession to His glory.
