† IN OUR PRAYERS  Kady E., Ed & Betty’s granddaughter, recovering from a car accident; LuVerne C., undergoing treatment for a lymphoma; Carol L., at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center; Jack H., dealing with multiple health issues; Lee Ann C., recovering at home; Earl G., suffering from ALS; Kathy P., suffering health issues; Sara P., undergoing treatment for cancer; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SURVEY ANNOUNCEMENT  The Board of Elders is conducting a survey of the congregation concerning worship service times and number of    services.  The surveys will be available after the service in the back.  When you pick one up, check your name off the list.  Surveys will be mailed to those who were not able to pick up a copy in person.  If you do not see your name on the list, please add it at the end.  If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to the elders: Dave W., Michael G., John N., Shawn P., and Bradley M.

† MEAL DELIVERY  Good Shepherd’s week to deliver meals for the Over-60 Center starts this Monday, August 13.  If you can help with this worthwhile project, please contact Betty E.

† WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP GROUP  The Women’s Fellowship Group will    be meeting every 4th Saturday of the month at 10:00 am in the church  Fellowship Hall.  Any and all women are welcome to join us for brunch and fellowship time.  Our next meeting will be Saturday, August 25.  Please join us and feel free to invite others!

† RALLY DAY/POTLUCK  The summer quarter of Sunday School ends on Sunday, August 26.  That Sunday, to celebrate the end of our summer unit and beginning of our new Sunday School quarter, we will have a bubble launch at the beginning of the Sunday School hour and a congregational potluck after Sunday School.  There will also be some special activities  during the Sunday School hour and those students entering the 3rd grade this year will receive a Bible from the Christian Education Committee.  There is a sign up sheet on the round table in the narthex for the potluck. Let us know what you are bringing so we can make sure we have everything covered!

† TIM & HOPE MEHL  If you missed their presentation or are looking for information about Tim and Hope Mehl, who spoke about being missionaries/teachers in Taiwan, it is available on the round table in the narthex.

† REQUEST TO RECYCLE  When purchasing flowers for the altar it would be greatly appreciated if you would return your pots (even the plastic ones) to Diana Endicott, or place them in the church office, so she can use them again.  Thanks for your help!

† SUMMER QUARTER OFFERINGS  The offerings from Adult Bible class/Sunday School and VBS for the summer quarter will be going to Watered Gardens Gospel Rescue Missions in Joplin.  A donation of $15.00 provides one bed for one night.  For that amount, a shower, hygiene items, a set of clothing/shoes, a bed and laundry facilities are provided.  Let’s see how many nights GSLC can provide with our summer offerings.

† BAPTISM  We rejoice with Aliya, Taylon, and Trenton G. at their baptisms this morning.  Aliya, Taylon, and Trenton are the children of Shea and Kate G.  Their sponsors are Mary S, Emily M, and Jason O.  We ask God to bless this family always with His love and grace.

† LWML will not meet this Tuesday evening.  Their next meeting will be held September 4, at 6:30 pm, in the Fellowship Hall.

† VBS PRESENTATION  At the beginning of the service this morning the VBS kids will give the congregation a taste of all the wonderful things they learned this week at VBS.  After Sunday School, if any of the kids would like to use the slip and slide from the kick-off party, Doug S. is willing to get it going!

† THE QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING is scheduled for tonight at 7:00 pm.

† VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL  Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s VBS possible!  It takes a lot of help to put such a special event together and we really appreciate all the hard work.  A big thank you to Nicole B. and Diana B. for all the time put in organizing, decorating, and much more!  Also, a special thanks to Doug S. who got soaked with water balloons each night to help encourage our offering.  This year’s VBS offering was $387.00 which will be going to Watered Gardens, that’s a lot of beds!  What a wonderful and enjoyable week it was learning that GOD IS WITH US through life’s wild ride!

† VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL starts tonight and will go through Thursday, July 26.  It runs from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with a light dinner at 5:30 pm each evening.  Come and join us in learning and teaching that on life’s wild ride, Jesus is by our side!  Next Sunday, at the beginning of the service, the children will be sharing with us some of the songs they learned throughout the week.

† STEPHEN MINISTRY PRESENTATION  There will be a presentation about Stephen Ministry at the end of the service this morning.

† TIM & HOPE MEHL  If you missed their presentation or are looking for information about Tim and Hope Mehl, who spoke last Sunday about being missionaries/teachers in Taiwan, it is available on the round table in the narthex.
