† IN OUR PRAYERS  Stephen L., recovering from shoulder surgery; Bernice R., recovering at home after a fall; Sonny E., recovering from neck surgery; Katherine R., recovering from surgery for a broken hip; Wynette Q., recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor; Sue V., at St. Luke’s receiving rehab after a broken hip;  Jack H., at St. Luke’s dealing with multiple health issues;Kathy P., suffering health issues; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† MEAL DELIVERY  Good Shepherd’s week to deliver meals for the Over-60 Center is June 10 – 14.  If you can help with this worthwhile project, please contact Betty E.

† FRIDAY NIGHT FAMILY CAMPOUT  The annual Friday Night Family       Campout is this Friday, June 7 through Saturday, June 8.  This event will be held at the “The Fishing Hole” (Dale & Lee Ann B.’ property south of      Lockwood).  Please contact Dale, with any questions.  There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL NURSERY  The Christian Education Committee would like to try to offer a nursery option for parents wanting to attend Bible Class starting in June.  Regular Sunday School classes begin at age 3 and there are teachers for those classes.  For children under 3 years old we would like to offer a place for supervised play, snack, and a very short   simple age appropriate Jesus message.  All materials and snacks will be provided in the nursery classroom.  There is a sign up sheet located by the door of the nursery room for people wanting to help out in this classroom.  You can also call the church office, 358-1325,  if you are willing to sign up.

† VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL MEETING  There will be a VBS meeting after Sunday School today.  We would love to have anyone already involved and anyone interested in being involved in VBS this year at our meeting.  It would be great to have a large group involved in the process.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING  The Spring quarter offerings from both   Sunday School and Adult Bible Class will be going to LovinGrace in Joplin.  This is a faith based organization that provides a Christian-based approach for helping young women who have aged-out of foster care, are homeless, or have limited support systems to obtain the skills and education they need to live a productive life on their own.

† NURSERY/CRY ROOM  Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use.  Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.

† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.

† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the  service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

† JR CONFIRMATION  This morning several of our young members will  publicly confess their faith during the service.  Brett B. is the son of Chad & Nichole B., Madeleine G. is the daughter of Michael & Susan G., Savannah K. is the daughter of Jerry & Dixie K., Charles S. is the son of Perry & Charla S., Jacy T. is the daughter of Adam & Sara T., and Emmalee W. is the daughter of Wayne & Shelley W.

† CIRCUIT ASCENSION SERVICE  On Thursday, May 30, there will be an    Ascension Service held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie at 7:00 pm.  Everyone from our circuit is invited to attend.

† SPRINGFIELD CARDINALS LUTHERAN NIGHT  On Friday, May 31, the Springfield Cardinals will be having Lutheran Night at the ballpark.  The game time is 7:00 pm.  Tickets, which are $9.00, will include a Springfield Cardinals cap.  There will also be post-game fireworks that night.  If you have questions, please contact Jim Garoutte, 540-4361.  There is a sign-up sheet on the round table in the narthex.  The deadline for payment is next Sunday, May 19.

† PRESENTATION  Today, during Bible Study, Lydia N. will be talking about and sharing pictures from her mission trip to Mexico.

† BREAKFAST IN THE PARK  LWML will host their annual Breakfast in the Park on Saturday, May 11, at 10:00 am for all ladies of the congregation.   It will be held at Jennifer S.’s home, in Carthage.

       Hostesses are Jennifer Shannon and Libby S.  Come enjoy a relaxing    fun morning with your fellow women from Good Shepherd.

† ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
