REFORMATION SUNDAY Today we commemorate the posting of the 95 Thesis by Martin Luther which marked the beginning of the Reformation.

HAYRIDES-HOBO SUPPER-HARVEST PARTY Everyone is invited! We will start “making” the stew around 5:00 pm. Bring some of your own pre-cooked stew or cooked vegetables or meat to toss in the big black pot on the open fire. Hayrides will start at 5:30 pm and will be held at Jack H.’s home, which is 2 miles west of the church on Hwy 96, house on the right. By the time the hayrides are over, the stew should be hot and ready to dish up. It is always so good! Along with all this fun, the children will be having a Harvest Party. They can “dress up” in a “friendly” costume if they want to. There will be games to play and special treats handed out. This is gonna be loads a’ fun, and ya don’t wanna miss it! Bring yer friends, too, ‘cause they’re a’ welcome! See ya’ll here!

LWML FALL RALLY AT FREISTATT You are invited to attend the Fall Rally being held at Trinity, Freistatt, on Sat., Nov. 3. Registration begins at 9:30 am. Want to go and need a ride? Give Mary a call at the church office, 358-1325. Rally ingathering of non-perishable items and paper products will go to Crosslines, Monett.
LWML FUNDRAISER-DOLLARS FOR MISSIONS The LWML has a quilt that was donated to us to raise money for our mission work. Your name along with a dollar donation will give you one (ten with a $5.00 donation) possibility of owning this beautiful quilt. Drawing for the quilt will be Nov. 6.
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME BEGINS next Sunday. Be sure to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night.

CD’S AND TAPES OF THE SERVICE Audio tapes and CD’s of the service are available after the service each Sunday. They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the narthex after the service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
