† IN OUR PRAYERS  Gretta M.’s mother, suffering from both heart and kidney problems; Jim G., recovering from neck surgery; George M.’s sister, close to death; Nan B., back at home; Jack H., dealing with multiple health issues; LuVerne C.undergoing treatment for lymphoma; Lee Ann C., recovering at home; Kathy P., suffering health issues; Sara P., undergoing treatment for cancer; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† THANK YOU for all your prayers for our granddaughter, Kady.  She is up and walking with a cane and doing better.  She has a way to go but we are so grateful that she is improving.  Your prayers are greatly appreciated!     ~ Ed & Betty E.

† ANGEL TREE  A big Thank you to everyone who took a tag from the tree.  Our congregation sent a very generous number of items to the Salvation Army last week and they were extremely appreciative to get them!  Thanks for your support of this project!

† GUESS WHO’S COMING FOR CHRISTMAS  Please join us this evening for the Sunday School Christmas Program at 7:00 pm.  Come and watch the contestants participate in a game show to find out about the people who were there to experience the first Christmas.  The students have worked hard and are very excited to share the story of Jesus’ birth with their church family!  There will be refreshments for everyone to enjoy after    the program.  *Today we will have one last rehearsal during Sunday School and then celebrate with a pizza party!

† GSLC BAND will take a break until after the new year.  Band practices will resume on Wednesday, January 9.

† MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES  As in recent years, Good Shepherd will    provide midweek worship services at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm each Wednesday during Advent.  Please join us!

† USHER SCHEDULES  The 2019 usher schedules are on the round table in the narthex.

† OFFERING ENVELOPES  The 2019 offering envelopes are on the round table in the narthex.  Please remember to discard your 2018 envelopes and use only the 2019 envelopes beginning on Sunday, January 6.  If you do not see your name and want envelopes, please contact the church office.  Likewise, if you prefer not to use them and see your name, simply write NO on the label.

† FLOWER CHART, 2019  If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway.  Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.

† PORTALS OF PRAYER  The new Portals of Prayer for the winter are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.

† LWML QUARTERLIES  The LWML Winter Quarterlies are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.

† POINSETTIAS  If you would like to purchase a poinsettia(s) to help adorn the sanctuary at Christmas, please use the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex and prepay Diana E.  The cost is $8.00 each.  Please, see Diana with any questions.
