† IN OUR PRAYERS  Jim G., recovering from neck surgery; George M.’s sister, close to death; Nan B., at Oak Point in Carthage; Kady E., Ed & Betty’s granddaughter, recovering from a  car accident; Jack H., dealing with multiple health issues; LuVerne C., undergoing treatment for lymphoma; Lee Ann C., recovering at home; Kathy P., suffering health issues; Sara P., undergoing treatment for cancer; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† THANK YOU GSLC for all your prayers, phone calls, cards and thoughts.  They were much appreciated.  My treatments have been going well and I am about done with monthly treatments.  Continue to remember me in prayer.  God bless GSLC.                   ~ LuVerne C.

† ANGEL TREE  The angel tree items were due to be back and under the tree by today.  If you haven’t put yours under the tree yet, please bring them to the church this week by Tuesday so they can be picked up by the Salvation Army.  Remember they should be unwrapped with the tag attached.  Thanks for your support of this project.

† GUESS WHO’S COMING FOR CHRISTMAS  The Sunday School Christmas program is scheduled for next Sunday, December 16, at 7:00 pm.  Today we will rehearse during Sunday School and then break for lunch in the  fellowship hall.  We will then rehearse again after lunch.  Next Sunday we will have one last rehearsal during Sunday School and then celebrate with a pizza party.  Please encourage your children to get excited about this special opportunity to tell the story of Jesus’ birth to our church family!

† LWML CHRISTMAS PARTY  The LWML is sponsoring a Christmas Holiday centered evening for all the ladies of the congregation tonight at 5:30 pm, in the Fellowship Hall of the church.  The menu will include a variety of appetizers.  The names for secret sisters will be passed out.  There will also be a Christmas exchange.  For those who would like to participate, bring a wrapped Christmas item, $5.00 or less.  Come and join us for an evening of Christmas fun and festivities.

† CHRISTMAS TRAINS  On Saturday, December 15, from 2:00-5:00 pm, Doug & Peggy Schnelle will be hosting an open house featuring Christmas trains!  It will be at Doug & Peggy’s home at 5598 County Rd. 175 in        Carthage.   All kids are invited, “big kids” too.  Come enjoy some refreshments and Christmas fun for the afternoon!

† CANCER PATIENTS & SURVIVORS GROUP  Our planning meeting was small but mighty!  We talked about how our relationships with God, our family, and friends was affected.  It was encouraging to learn that others share the same hopes, fears and feelings regardless of where they are in their battle against cancer.  We plan to meet again after the holidays. Watch for more information with the new year.

† MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES  As in recent years, Good Shepherd will    provide midweek worship services at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm each Wednesday during Advent.  Please join us!

† POINSETTIAS  If you would like to purchase a poinsettia(s) to help adorn the sanctuary at Christmas, please use the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex and prepay Diana E.  The cost is $8.00 each.  Please, see Diana with any questions.
