We rejoice with Brett & Chrissy D. at the baptism of their daughter, Abigail Lee, who was born July 11, 2010. Her sponsors are Clark & Chyna R.  Abigail’s maternal grandparents are Linda C. and Ross & Ann R.  Her paternal grandparents are Dick & Judy D., and Milton & Becky D.

RECIPE FOR LIFE LADIES RETREAT Twenty-seven ladies attended the Passion Play in Eureka Springs last evening as part of the Recipe for Life weekend retreat.  You’ll hear more about the weekend, and hopefully see some pictures, in the October issue of the Shepherd’s Staff.
SOFTBALL The Co-Ed Softball team will play Monday at 7:30 pm and the Men’s Softball game is Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
WOMEN’S CLASS  The Wednesday evening women’s class is meeting each week at 6:30 pm.  They meet in the Fellowship Hall.  The book All About Angels is being used for the basis of study.  Ladies, please join us.
MORE THAN MONEY MATTERS WORKSHOP Want to get your finances in order?  Join us for a free workshop, Thursday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm.  The series will be presented by Thrivent representative, Austin Rice.  (No products will be offered for sale.)
PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
TAPES AND CD’S OF THE SERVICE Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.  They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.  The previous Sunday’s are also available.
BLOOD PRESSURE The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse’s office located off the narthex.  You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.
