REMEMBER IN PRAYER  Fern H. and Karen P., recovering from surgery; Jeanann G., Ann L., & Chuck P., undergoing treatment.

STAINED GLASS WINDOW MISHAP  Regrettably, when the stained glass window was here and ready to be installed, it was discovered that it had a crack.  So back to the shop it had to go.  They will have to take apart certain areas of the window and replace the glass that was cracked, which was the etched piece.  Completion time of the repair is not known.

SOFTBALL  The co-ed team will play Monday evening at 8:30.  The men’s team will have a week off due to the Carthage High School graduation on Tuesday evening.

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE  This afternoon The Rev. Dr. Stuart Brassie, from the MO-District Office of the LCMS, will lead us in a planning session beginning at 1:30 pm.  Dr. Brassie will help us focus on what direction we want to go, now that the expansion program is almost over, and how we will do it.  The planning session is open to everyone, and together, with our Lord’s guidance, we can look to a future that is focused and God-directed.

JR CONFIRMATION EXAM  The confirmands will have their last class this Wednesday evening at 6:30 with a review of this year’s lessons.  You are welcome to attend.  After the review, the class will be fitted for their confirmation robes.

WEDDING  You are invited to share in the joy with Gretchen  N. and Todd B. as they exchange their marriage vows this Saturday, May 29th, at 4:00 pm.  Gretchen is the daughter of John & Rhonda N.

JR CONFIRMATION SUNDAY is May 30th, at which time seven of our young folks will make public confession of their faith through the Rite of Confirmation during the late service.

THE ELDERS will meet this  Monday evening at 7:00.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY SIGN UP  Saturday, June 5th, Tuesday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 13th, are the days set for taking pictures for the church directory.  Sign up sheets are in the narthex next to the nurse’s office.  Please take note of the different times on each sheet. The photos will be taken here at the church by Rick Collins.

KID KITS  In the narthex are a number of bags containing crayons, coloring books, picture books and other items of interest for young children.  You are welcome to use them for your little ones.  Please return the “kid kit” after the service.

BLOOD PRESSURE  The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse’s office located off the narthex.  You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.

TAPES & CDS OF THE SERVICE  Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.  They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.  The previous Sunday’s are also available.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.
