† LYF FIREWORKS STAND Good Shepherd’s Youth Group will be running a fireworks stand at 1200 Briarbrook, across from Casey’s, in Carl Junction, as a fundraiser. It will be open June 29 through July 4. Come purchase all your fireworks here and help support our LYF!
† SUMMER WORSHIP For the summer months, we will have one worship service on Sunday and it begins at 9:00 am. Sunday School and Bible class will be at 10:30 am.
† VBS HELPERS Are you interested in helping with this year’s vacation bible school? The theme this year is “Splash Canyon – God’s Promise on Life’s Wild Ride.” The dates will be July 22 – July 26. We are in need of group leaders, group helpers, station assistants, etc. In addition we will be needing some help with our kick-off potluck and water games day which will be held at the church on Saturday, July 21. If you would like to help out with either of these or both, please let Nicole Backerman or Cindy Eaton know or you can contact the church office, 358-1325.
† WATERING AT THE CHURCH GSLC is looking for youth and adults who would be willing to help with watering around the church grounds this summer. If you would be able to help with this, please contact Doug Schnelle, 434-0764. It would be great to have a lot of people willing to help out so it isn’t so much work for any one person!
† SUMMER QUARTER OFFERINGS The offerings from Adult Bible class/Sunday School and VBS for the summer quarter will be going to Watered Gardens Gospel Rescue Missions in Joplin. A donation of $15.00 provides one bed for one night. For that amount, a shower, hygiene items, a set of clothing/shoes, a bed and laundry facilities are provided. Let’s see how many nights GSLC can provide with our summer offerings.
† PORTALS OF PRAYER The new Portals of Prayer for the summer are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† LWML SUMMER QUARTERLIES are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
