† BAPTISM We rejoice with Brandon and Tara W. at the baptism of their daughter, Elsie Elizabeth W., in the 10:45 am service this morning. Elsie was born January 24, 2018. Elsie’s sponsors are Josh and Meghan V. We ask God to bless this family always with His love and grace.
† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING The offering from both Adult Bible Class and Sunday School for the spring quarter will be going to Ronald McDonald House. We are hoping to get enough money to purchase a couple of their “Dream BIG items”. This could include two high chairs and a hedge trimmer. It would take around $300 to purchase these items. That seems like a reasonable goal for the quarter and what a great way to help out this great organization.
† LWML SPRING RALLY The Spring Rally of the Southwest Zone of Missouri LWML will be held this afternoon in Shell Knob. Individuals attending the rally will carpool and leave Good Shepherd at 12:30 pm.
† SPRINGFIELD CARDINALS LUTHERAN NIGHT On Friday, June 1, the Springfield Cardinals will be having Lutheran Night at the ballpark. The game time is 7:10 pm. Tickets, which are $15.00, will include a Springfield Cardinals cap and a t-shirt. There will also be post-game fireworks that night. If you have questions, please contact Jim G. There is a sign-up sheet on the round table in the narthex, remember to include your shirt sizes (Youth Sm – Adult 3XL). The deadline for payment is May 6.
† BREAKFAST IN THE PARK The LWML will host their annual Breakfast in the Park next Saturday, May 5, at 10:00 am. It will be held at the Carthage Municipal Park in the large picnic shelter, so it will be held rain or shine. This is for all ladies of the congregation. You are welcome to bring your children – we will be right by the playground. Hostesses are Judy G. and Diana E.
† THANK YOU The shoe drive has come to an end and Donya M. would like to thank everyone who donated.
† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
† ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
† NURSERY/CRY ROOM Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use. Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.
