VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL starts tonight and will go through Thursday, July 27. It runs from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with a light dinner at 5:30 pm each evening. Come and join us in learning and teaching that in Jesus, the victory is won! Next Sunday, at the beginning of the service, the children will be sharing with us some of the songs they learned throughout the week.
VBS KICK-OFF PARTY Thanks so much to Nicole and Chad B. for organizing and providing the delicious pulled pork for our annual VBS kick-off party. It was a well attended, fun filled event!

SINGLE SENIOR LADIES A group of single, senior ladies has formed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. They are meeting the last Sunday of each month. Come join them for some fellowship, fun and snacks on Sunday, July 30, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Ruby S.’s home in Carthage. OFFERINGS FROM VBS & SUNDAY SCHOOL The offering from VBS, which will be combined with the summer quarter Sunday School offering, will be going to an organization called Sharing God’s Mighty Word. This organization sends free Bibles, Bible story books, and teaching materials to individuals and organizations who are struggling to connect people with the Gospel. During VBS we will also be asking for donations of Bible story books to donate locally to the Carthage Family Literacy Council to put in their Little Free Library locations.
THE QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING is scheduled for next Sunday, July 30, at 7:00 pm.
LWML For the month of July the LWML will be taking a li;le break. There will not be a meeAng or event for LWML unAl August 1, which will be their regular monthly meeAng in the church Fellowship Hall.
