† SUMMER WORSHIP For the summer months, GSLC will have one worship service on Sunday with Holy Communion and it will begin at 9:00 am. Sunday School and Bible class will be at 10:30 am.
† 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION Martha, Steven, & Bethany are hosting a 50th wedding anniversary reception for their parents, James & Gerry Schnackenberg. It will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the church fellowship hall. The congregation is invited to help celebrate this happy occasion. No gifts, please.
† LYF FIREWORKS STAND Good Shepherd’s Youth Group will be running a fireworks stand at 1200 Briarbrook, across from Casey’s, in Carl Junction, as a fundraiser. It will be open June 30 through July 4. Come purchase all your fireworks here and help support our LYF!
† VBS REGISTRATION Vacation Bible School will be held July 23 – 27, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with a light dinner at 5:30 pm each evening. Watch for registration forms in the narthex. Please, make sure to fill out a registration form if you are participating or helping and include your t-shirt size so Nicole can order the shirts. You can use one sheet for multiple members in a family if you want, but be sure to include all their shirt sizes.
† TUESDAY MORNING MEN’S BIBLE STUDY A new Tuesday morning men’s Bible study has started. The group is studying “God’s Word for Today: 2 Peter & Jude”. They meet on Tuesdays at 6:30 am in Joplin. If you have any questions you can contact Greg G., or the church office, (417)358-1325.
† MEALS FOR PASTOR’S FAMILY While Megan is home and on bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy, meals for Pastor and his family are being organized by Brenda K., and Rosann C. Thanks to all of you who have already volunteered. If you would like to help with this in any way, please contact them to get involved.
† LWML QUARTERLIES The LWML Summer Quarterlies are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† PORTALS OF PRAYER The new Portals of Prayer for the Summer are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† NURSERY/CRY ROOM Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use. Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.
† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having difficulty hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume
