† IN OUR PRAYERS  Megan M., at Freeman Hospital, experiencing some complications with her pregnancy; Jody G., placed on hospice; Jack H., undergoing rehab at St Luke’s Nursing Center; Stella Q., struggling with her loss of memory; Kathy P., suffering health issues; Sara P., undergoing treatment for cancer; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† MEAL DELIVERY  Good Shepherd’s week to deliver meals for the Over-60 Center is the week of June 12-16.  If you can help with this   worthwhile project, please contact Betty E.

† SENIOR SINGLE LADIES CHANGE OF PLANS  The Senior Single Ladies  will have a change of date and location for the month of June.  Instead  of meeting the last Sunday of June, the group will meet next Sunday, June 11, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, at Ruby S.’s home,   in Carthage.  If you have any questions or need directions, please contact Ruby (Contact church office for contact information)

† MEALS FOR PASTOR’S FAMILY  While Megan is staying in the hospital, meals for Pastor and his family are being organized by Brenda K. and Rosann C.  Thanks to all of you who have already volunteered.  If you would like to help with this in any way, please contact them to get involved.

† SUMMER WORSHIP  For the summer months, GSLC will have one worship service on Sunday with Holy Communion and it will begin at 9:00 am.  Sunday School and Bible class will be at 10:30 am.

† NAME TAG SUNDAY  Forgot someone’s name? –don’t be embarrassed.  We are here to help you out!  On Sunday June 11, while we are enjoying having everyone all in one service, we will have name tags for everyone to wear.  It will be a great way to make sure everyone is able to get reacquainted with one another!

† FATHER’S DAY POTLUCK  On Sunday, June 18, after Sunday School, GSLC will be having a “good ole fashioned pot luck” just for Dad.  Bring one or two of your favorite dishes to share and bring one or two friends, too!  There will be door prizes as well for the men.  What a wonderful excuse to have a fun fellowship event with food!  If you have questions, see Lora Wacker.

† VBS HELPERS  Are you interested in helping with this year’s Vacation Bible School?  The theme this year is “A Mighty Fortress – In Jesus, the Victory is won!”  The dates will be July 23 – July 27.  We are in need of group leaders, group helpers, station assistants, etc.  If you would like to help out this year, please let Nicole B. or Cindy E. know or you can contact the church office, 358-1325.  Please consider helping out with this worthwhile event that helps our children learn about Jesus’ love for us.

† TUESDAY MORNING MEN’S BIBLE STUDY  A new Tuesday morning men’s Bible study has started.  The group is studying  “God’s Word for Today: 2 Peter & Jude”.  They meet on Tuesdays at 6:30 am in Joplin.  If you have any questions you can contact Greg G. or the church office, (417)358-1325.

† Heit’s Point Lutheran Ministries would like for you to join us for our annual Outdoor Festival on June 11, 2017 at 11:00 am.  There will be an outdoor worship service, speaker Rev. † NURSERY/CRY ROOM  Should your child become distressed or distract  others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in    the narthex for your use.  Please ask one of the ushers if you need      directions.

† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.

† ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having difficulty hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
