† LADIES NIGHT OUT Mark your calendars for this year’s Ladies Night Out, hosted by the LWML, which will be held on Monday, October 10, at 6:30 pm. Sorry for the slight change in the original date. It will be held at Diana E.’s house in Neosho. All ladies are invited and encouraged to come!!!
† Jr. Confirmation instruction started last Sunday. It is held at 1:15 pm in the Conference Room. Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation will be provided to each new Confirmand, but each student will need to bring their own Bible to class.
† SUNDAY SCHOOL There will be a meeting on Sunday, October 2, after the late service to discuss the current Sunday School material and to start planning for this year’s Christmas Program. Anyone currently helping with Sunday School or interested in helping out is encouraged to attend.
† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING Starting in September and going through the end of the year, Sunday School offerings, both the adult and the children’s, are being designated to Immanuel Lutheran’s Comfort Dog Team’s fund for medical expenses. Our previous goal for Children’s Haven was $1,000 and we achieved that goal. Lets see if we can exceed that amount this time! Thanks so much for your support of this project.
† PORTALS OF PRAYER You will find the newest edition of the Portals of Prayer on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† LWML QUARTERLIES The new fall quarterlies are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† Organist Needed If you or someone you know can play the piano or organ and would be willing to play for church one Sunday per month, please let Pastor or Greg Golden know. We are looking to add another player to the organist roster!
† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
† ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
† NURSERY/CRY ROOM Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use. Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.
