† VBS KICK-OFF PARTY Come out to the Carthage Municipal Park this afternoon for this year’s VBS kick-off party. The fun will start at 4:00 pm with rides at Kiddie Land. There is a cook-out at 5:00 pm. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. The festivities will conclude with swimming at the Carthage Municipal Pool from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
† LCMS NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING There are 8 youth members and 2 adult leaders of our congregation attending the LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Please remember to keep these young people in your prayers as they travel and experience this awesome event together. † VBS SET-UP Work days for this year’s VBS will be this Thursday, July 21, at 6:00 pm and (if needed) Saturday, July 23, at 9:00 am, for anyone who wants to come and help set-up decorations and props to make this year’s VBS really come to life.
† LYF FIREWORKS STAND Thanks to all of you who came and supported our LYF at the fireworks stand. It was a very successful fundraiser for them!
† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING $1000 GOAL REACHED For the first couple of quarters in 2016, both the adult and the children’s Sunday School offerings were being collected to help Children’s Haven in Joplin. If you are monitoring our progress by watching our bulletin board downstairs you will notice that we reached our $1000 goal. All 10 gingerbread kids are up! Thanks so much for your support of this project!
† VBS REGISTRATION Vacation Bible School will be held July 24 – 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with a light dinner at 5:30 pm each evening. There are registration forms on the round table in the narthex.
