† HOBO DINNER Thanks to everyone who helped with this year’s Hobo Dinner! The weather was great, the food was yummy, and the fellowship was wonderful.
† LYF FELLOWSHIP/FUNDRAISING EVENT The Lutheran Youth Fellowship will be hosting a Game Gathering event this afternoon at 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This will be a fun afternoon of Bingo and prizes put on by the members of our LYF. Everyone is encouraged to come, bring a friend and enjoy some fun while supporting our youth for the National Gathering in 2016! There will be some concession type food available during the time and there will be door prizes and Bingo prizes including gift cards to various restaurants and other locations. (The youth think the best one is the $15 Starbucks card.) The suggested donation for a pack of Bingo cards to play all the rounds is $10.00. Please come back this afternoon and have some fun with our youth group!
† SPECIAL HOLIDAY MUSIC Pastor Mackie has no records of persons or groups who customarily offer special music for the holidays. Please contact Linda D. or Pastor Mackie at the church office as soon as possible if you expect to provide special music during worship services in November/December.
† THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM is scheduled for Sunday, December 20, at 7:00 pm. We will be working on the songs and speaking lines in the Sunday School opening during November. We would really appreciate it if we could have as many students here at Sunday School as much as possible because it will make things run smoother in December for rehearsals. Please encourage your children to get excited about this special opportunity to tell the story of Jesus’ birth to our church family!
† HELP NEEDED AT CROSSLINES Good Shepherd has a group of people who volunteer their time at Crosslines the third Friday of every month. They are in need of at least one more person to help them during this time. If you would be interested in helping, please contact Nan B. or Janet C.
† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
† NURSERY/CRY ROOM Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use. Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.
