† IN OUR PRAYERS  Kathy P., suffering health issues; Ruth H., at Mercy in Joplin; Jack H., Letitia L., Carol L., recovering at home; Paula B., April K., Sara P., Sara T., undergoing treatment for cancer.

† THE MEN’S CAMPOUT AND RETREAT starts this Friday, October 23 – 25 at Dale’s Fish’n Hole.  There is a map with more information available on the round table in the narthex.  Please add your name to the provided sign up sheet if you plan to attend.

† HOBO DINNER  Sunday, November 1 at 5:30 pm, Good Shepherd will be having the annual Hobo Dinner.  There is a sign-up sheet on the round   table in the narthex both to let us know if you plan on attending and also   if you’d like to help by donating a food item.  Of course, everyone is  encouraged to bring stew, meat, or vegetables to add to the large pot of stew that will be cooking over the fire that evening.  There will be carnival type games and treats for the children and a hay ride. 

† HELP NEEDED AT CROSSLINES  Good Shepherd has a group of people who volunteer their time at Crosslines the third Friday of every month.  They are in need of at least one more person to help them during this time.  If you would be interested in helping, please contact Nan B. or Janet C.

† LYF FELLOWSHIP/FUNDRAISING EVENT  The Lutheran Youth Fellowship will be hosting a Game Gathering event on Sunday, November 8 at 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  This will be a fun afternoon of Bingo and prizes put on by the members of our LYF.  Everyone is encouraged to come, bring a friend and enjoy some fun while supporting our youth for the National Gathering in 2016!  There will be some concession type food available    during the time and there will be door prizes and Bingo prizes including gift cards to various restaurants and other locations.  (The youth think the best one is the $15 Starbucks card.)  Hope to see everyone here!

† MEAL DELIVERY  Thanks to everyone who helped deliver meals last week!  It is wonderful to have members of our congregation out helping    others in our community!

† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.

† ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the  service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

NURSERY/CRY ROOM  Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use.  Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions
