BACK TO TWO SERVICES Next Sunday, September 6, we will return to our regular two services. Worship services will be at 8:15 and 10:45 am with Sunday School and Adult Bible Class at 9:30 am.
TODAY IS SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY DAY There will be a kick-off event and special activities during Sunday School. The theme for Rally Day is Noah’s Ark so join us for some fun water games and food at the carnival which will happen right after the Sunday School hour, around 11:30 am. A big THANK YOU to everyone who provided cookies for this fun event!
LWML will meet this Tuesday at 6:30 pm, in the Fellowship Hall.
GSLC BAND will resume weekly practices on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 6:30 pm beginning this week.
JR CONFIRMATION instruction will start in September. Jr. Confirmands and their parents are asked to attend an organizational meeting on Sunday, September 13, at 1:00 pm in the conference room. Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation will be provided to each new Confirmand, but each student will need to bring their own Bible to class.
GSLC FALL HOG ROAST AND MUSIC FESTIVAL has been scheduled for Sunday, September 27, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Please save the date on your calendar. There is a sign up sheet on the round table in the narthex of specific items that are needed. Please stop and take a look at the list and see if you can help out.
LYF REMINDER Youth that will be attending the 2016 National Youth Gathering need to have their completed registration form and deposit turned in by September 6.
TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY Our Thursday Morning Bible Study has become Tuesday Morning Bible Study. The group is now meeting every Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in the narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love,, comfort, and peace.
NURSERY/CRY ROOM should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use. Please ask one of the users if you need directions.
