† SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY  This year a total of 1,371items have been donated to Crosslines of Carthage.  Wow, that was more than twice the amount Good Shepherd gave last year!  A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this worthwhile support of our community and made this our biggest donation yet!

† LWML BAKE SALE  It’s time for the 3rd annual LWML Valentines Bake Sale today between services and after the late service.  Make sure to stop by the table and get some delicious goodies!  Thanks to those who donated baked goods.

† PASTORAL CONFERENCE Due to a change, the Pastoral Conference will be held here on Monday.

† BAPTISMAL NAPKINS  We are running low on Baptismal Napkins and rather than buy them, as they can be rather expensive, we were wondering if anyone would be willing to make some. If you have cloth to donate, are willing to make some napkins, or just have some questions, please talk with Pastor or Denise at the church office.

† LUTHERAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP  There will be a planning meeting today at 6:00 pm for the 70 and Over banquet and other activities.  Parents are encouraged to attend to help with the planning.  We will continue our discussion of Relationships 101.

† LADIES’ NIGHT OUT DINNER  This year’s Ladies’ Night Out Dinner is next Sunday at 5:00 pm.  Along with dinner, served by the men, there will be entertainment provided by the Garms Family, a  traveling gospel singing group.  There is more information in the    February Newsletter.  Please use the sign-up sheet in the narthex, or call the church office, 358-1325, if you plan to attend, so we will know how much food to prepare.

† LENT starts Wednesday the 18th and we will again have weekday services each Wednesday at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm throughout Lent.    Part of the passion story of Jesus will be read each week.  Be sure and utilize these services as part of your Lenten observance.

† USHER SCHEDULE  The 2015 usher schedules are on the round table in the narthex.  If you have agreed to be an usher this year, make sure to look for yours in the box.  Thanks for your service to Good Shepherd.

† 2014 CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS are ready for you to pick up.  They are on the round table in the narthex.

† ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office   after the service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
