IN OUR PRAYERS Linda S., recovering from heart surgery; Joann W.’s mother, diagnosed with lung cancer; Tracy, George & Lois M.’s daughter, diagnosed with melanoma; Lois H., Pastor and Mary’s sister, and Paula B., undergoing treatment for cancer; Men and women serving in our military.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mike & Maggie C. who were blessed with the gift of a baby girl Sept. 30. Millie Kay weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz. and was 19 inches long. Fred & Diana E. are the maternal grandparents. May God bless this family and keep them in his care.

CHOIR Didn’t get signed up but would like to be part of the choir? No problem. Practice will be on Thursday evenings in the sanctuary beginning at 7:00.

GUEST SPEAKER Next Sunday, Pastor James Baumgartner, his wife, Britt, and daughter, Nora, will be our guests. Pastor Baumgartner will be our speaker during both worship services and will also lead the Bible Study. Pastor B. and his family have accepted a call to the missionary field and will be sharing the Gospel to the people of China. The GSLC Missionary League has adopted the Baumgartners and we are blessed to have them with us.

MONDAY EVENING SERVICES We will not have our Monday evening services Oct 14, 21, and 28, due to Pastor being away at the District Pastoral Conference and on vacation.

A GUY RETREAT with fishing and camping is this weekend. Please use the sign up sheet if you plan to attend this always wonderful time at the Beshears’ fishing pond.

THE CHURCH COUNCIL will meet next Sunday evening at 7:00.

PRAYER PARTNERS—ADULT/CHILD If you would like to be a prayer partner, there are sign up sheets in the narthex. Kids, we need you to sign up; we have adults wanting to be your partner.

PORTALS OF PRAYER You will find the newest edition of the Portals of Prayer on the table by the nursery in the narthex.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace. We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
