DONALD H. Donald Lee H., 64, was received into the arms of his Savior on June 1, at his home. He had bravely battled colon cancer for the past two years. Don was born April 14, 1949, in Coffeeville, KS. He is survived by his wife Judy, two sons, Brock of Carthage and Chad and his wife, Stephanie, of Carl Junction, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, along with one sister, two brothers, two sisters-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Don’s funeral was Wednesday, June 5 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Coffeeville, the place of his baptism and confirmation. We pray for the Lord’s comfort to Judy and to all of the family.

AN IMPORTANT BOARD OF ED MEETING will be held today after Sunday School. Anyone that has helped us in the past or anyone what would prayerfully consider helping us now is urged to attend. We have several organizational issues to address and we need input and help.

PASTOR AND GERRY will be away for a few days to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They will be back by Thursday of this week. We thank Pastor Johns for leading the Monday evening service.

THANK YOU We would like to thank the members of Good Shepherd and Pastor Schnackenberg for all the cards, prayers, calls and visits while I have been recovering from my surgery. Everything is going well and hope to be in full strength soon. ~ Darrel and Clara H.

SOFTBALL Come and enjoy the game of softball. The co-ed team plays Monday at 8:30 and the men play Tuesday at 7:30.

MONDAY EVENING WORSHIP If you are unable to attend on Sunday morning, there will be another worship opportunity on Monday evening, beginning tomorrow evening at 6:30. This will also be a service with Holy Communion.

FLOWER CHART If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
