JR. CONFIRMATION is next Sunday, May 26. During the 10:45 am service, three young ladies and two young men will publicly confess their faith and will partake, with their family, in the Lord’s Supper for the first time. Please keep these young folks in your prayers.
SOFTBALL Come and enjoy the game of softball. The co-ed team plays Monday at 8:30 and the men play Tuesday at 8:30.
WISHIN’ TO GO A FISHIN’ Here’s your chance for some great family time along with some great fishing time. A “family campout” is planned for ONE night, Friday, May 31, at Dale & Leann Beshears’ property south of Lockwood. There is a large stocked pond with room to camp for the night. A sign up sheet is in the narthex next to the music room.
OFF FOR THE SUMMER The Men’s Ensemble will be taking the summer off from Wednesday evening practices. They will resume again in the fall.
SUMMER WORSHIP We have one worship service on Sunday starting June 2 at 9:00 am. Sunday School and Bible Class will be at 10:30 am. If you are unable to attend on Sunday morning, there will be another worship opportunity on Monday evening at 6:30.
SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL On June 2 we will begin a brand new summer Sunday School session entitled, Living Inside Out. Along with new material, we’re looking for new teachers. As more of a team approach is embraced for the summer session, you won’t be alone in a classroom, and taking a family vacation won’t cause a pinch. Would you prayerfully consider giving a few weeks to our kids at Good Shepherd? Contact Gloria E., or Karen P.
PLEASE MAKE NOTE Your donations to Carthage Crosslines are so very appreciated, but it has been called to our attention that they do not need or accept clothing at this time. Please, just non perishable food items only. Thank you!
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
FLOWER CHART If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion or in memory of someone, please sign the flower chart hanging on the wall next to the water fountain in the hallway. Simply write your name, phone number, and occasion with the pen provided.
PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace. We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.
