† BIG THANK YOU to Doug Dahlman who spent several days this week    stripping and waxing the floor in the Sunday School area.  We really       appreciate it!

† YOUTH GROUP SUMMER BBQ  All students going into 9th-12th grade and their families are invited to a summer BBQ at Libby S.’s house on Sunday, July 7th after Sunday School.  Families are encouraged  to bring    a side dish or dessert to share.  RSVP to Libby by July 5th:

† VBS DONATIONS  There is a board in the narthex with supplies needed for this year’s VBS.  Please stop to check it out and see if there are items you would be willing to donate.  Take a post-it note or several and return the item/items with the note attached to the church by Sunday, July 14, unless it is fresh fruit.  Fresh fruit can be returned on July 21.  Thanks for your help!

† VBS WORK DAY  There is a VBS work day scheduled for all day Saturday, July 13.  If you have some time and would like to help out you can come and go as you please!  If you have question please contact Nicole B.,

† VBS REGISTRATION  This year’s VBS, “Miraculous Mission”, will be held July 21 – 25.  There are registration forms on the table under the bulletin board in the narthex.  If you would like to register for VBS online, you can do that at: http://vbsmate.com/events/gslccarthage/17744.  If you would like this year’s VBS t-shirt you will need to register by tomorrow, July 1.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL NURSERY  The Christian Education Committee is     offering a nursery option for parents wanting to attend Bible Class.       Regular Sunday School classes begin at age 3 and there are teachers for those classes.  For children under 3 years old we are offering a place for supervised play, snack, and a very short simple age appropriate Jesus  message.  All materials and snacks will be provided in the nursery        classroom.  There is a sign up sheet located by the door of the nursery room for people wanting to help out in this classroom.  You can also call the church office, 358-1325, if you are willing to sign up.

† PORTALS OF PRAYER  The new Portals of Prayer for the summer are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.

† NURSERY/CRY ROOM  Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use.  Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.

† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.

† BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the nurse’s office after the  service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

† FELLOWSHIP HALL FLOORS  Right after Bible class today the Fellowship Hall will be prepared to have the floors stripped and waxed.  The Trustees ask that no one enter the downstairs this week so that the floors can dry properly.

† THE WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP GROUP will meet this Saturday, June 15, at Mother Road Coffee from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.

† FRIDAY NIGHT FAMILY CAMPOUT  The annual Friday Night Family       Campout is this Friday, June 7 through Saturday, June 8.  This event will be held at the “The Fishing Hole” (Dale & Lee Ann B.’ property south of      Lockwood).  Please contact Dale, with any questions.  There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING  The Spring quarter offerings from both   Sunday School and Adult Bible Class will be going to LovinGrace in Joplin.  This is a faith based organization that provides a Christian-based approach for helping young women who have aged-out of foster care, are homeless, or have limited support systems to obtain the skills and education they need to live a productive life on their own.

† JR CONFIRMATION  This morning several of our young members will  publicly confess their faith during the service.  Brett B. is the son of Chad & Nichole B., Madeleine G. is the daughter of Michael & Susan G., Savannah K. is the daughter of Jerry & Dixie K., Charles S. is the son of Perry & Charla S., Jacy T. is the daughter of Adam & Sara T., and Emmalee W. is the daughter of Wayne & Shelley W.

† CIRCUIT ASCENSION SERVICE  On Thursday, May 30, there will be an    Ascension Service held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie at 7:00 pm.  Everyone from our circuit is invited to attend.
