† VBS PRESENTATION At the beginning of the service this morning the VBS kids will give the congregation a taste of all the wonderful things they learned this week at VBS.
† VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s VBS possible! It takes a lot of help to put such a special event together and we really appreciate all the hard work. A big thank you to Nicole B. and Diana B. for all the time put in organizing, decorating, and much more! This year’s VBS offering was $382.87 and it will be going to the newly formed Jasper County branch of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the diapers and wipes collected will be going to Newborns in Need! What a wonderful and enjoyable week it was learning about JESUS’ MIRACULOUS MISSION TO SAVE THE WORLD!
† VOTERS’ MEETING The regular quarterly voters’ meeting will be held today, right after church, during the Sunday School hour. The youth will be handling Sunday School for the kids so that everyone who would like to can attend the meeting. After the meeting there will be a lunch with fried chicken provided by the church.
† SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ MEETING Next Sunday, August 4, following the Sunday School hour, there will be a teachers’ meeting to get prepared for the Fall quarter. The meeting will address the new curriculum which we will be starting in September. All current Sunday School teachers and anyone interested in teaching are encouraged to attend this meeting.
† TIM & HOPE MEHL will be here next Sunday, August 4, during the Bible Class hour, to talk about their first year in Taiwan. They will be heading to Taiwan again early in the Fall for a second year of Missionary work.
† VBS DONATIONS Thanks to all those who took post-it notes of items needed for VBS, it is greatly appreciated! Every note placed on the board was taken, how awesome. It really helped keep costs down!
† LWML QUARTERLIES The new quarterlies for the summer are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.
† SUMMER QUARTER OFFERINGS The offerings from Adult Bible class/Sunday School and VBS for the summer quarter will be going to the Jasper County branch of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). CASA is a national organization that places individuals with foster children to guide and support them through the process of finding a permanent home. This is a joint community support effort with Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin.
† NURSERY/CRY ROOM Should your child become distressed or distract others during the service, a furnished nursery/cry room is located in the narthex for your use. Please ask one of the ushers if you need directions.
† PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex by nursery) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.
