† 2025 OFFICERS  At last Sunday’s regular quarterly Voters’ Meeting the officers for the 2025 church year were elected.  These are the elected officers for 2025:

President – Greg G.                          Vice-President – Dave H.

Secretary – Petra M.                      Treasurer – Dave E.

 Elder – Walter R., Kelby M.       Trustee – Ron N., Jared B.

Board of Christian Ed. Chair – Becky C.

Thanks to those men and women who are currently serving as officers and may

God continue to bless our congregation through those who will serve in 2025.

† THANK YOU to the Fellowship Committee and all those that helped put together a fun and successful evening on Halloween for the HOBO Dinner/Trunk & Treat.

† TIME AND TALENT SURVEY  During the month of November, we will be making a Time and Talent survey available for you to complete.  There is a blue tray on the information table in the narthex for submitting the completed surveys.  This will help us learn who in our congregation can help serve in different ways and help us connect you with the ministries and service opportunities that are the best fit.  Please take the time to fill it out.

† CROSSLINES COLLECTION  Thank you to everyone who participated in donating items for Christmas to Crosslines of Carthage.  What a wonderful  amount of items we were able to donate to our community.

† TREASURER NOTE  For the ten months ended October, our expenses totaled $197,648 while our income totaled $192,063 leaving us with a deficit of $5,585.

† QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING  The regular quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held today right after the service.  Two items on the agenda during this meeting will be the election of officers and the approval of the  budget for the 2025 church year.  The proposed slate of officers for 2025:

† CROSSLINES COLLECTION  Thank you to everyone who has participated in donating items for Christmas to Crosslines of Carthage.  All of the donations will be brought to Crosslines this week so they can be ready for Christmas.

† TRUNK & TREAT/HOBO DINNER  The Fellowship Committee will be hosting a Trunk & Treat in conjunction with the Hobo Dinner on October 31, starting at 6:00 pm.  Please bring some soup to contribute.  There are sign-up sheets in the narthex if you would like to help with supplies for dinner or decorate a trunk for Trunk & Treat.  If you have questions please contact Donya M.

† THE LWML FALL RALLY will be hosted by our LWML and held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church this Saturday, November 2.  Please come and join us.

† CROSSLINES COLLECTION  Time to start thinking of Christmas!!  For the month of October we are collecting toys, art supplies, blankets/throws, mittens/hats, etc. for Crosslines for Christmas gifts for children of their clients.  If you can   donate any of these items for children age birth to 15 it would make the spirit of Christmas come alive for families in need.  These do not need to be wrapped as they will be wrapped at Crosslines for each family.  If you have any Christmas wrap to donate, that would also be very much appreciated.

† THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN will sing in the service today.  They enjoy sharing with the congregation what they have been working on during the opening time of Sunday School.
