† IN OUR PRAYERS  Jack H., at St. Luke’s in Carthage;  Bonnie L., at Oak Pointe, Carthage; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† WEDNESDAY MORNING CHURCH & DRIVE-UP COMMUNION  Our next Wednesday drive-up communion will be this Wednesday, October 14, from  2:00 – 3:00 pm.  Our next Wednesday morning worship service will be next Wednesday, October 21, at 11:00 am. 

† VOTERS’ MEETING  The regular quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be  held next Sunday, October 18, right after service.  Two important items of business during this meeting will be the election of officers and the approval of the budget for the 2021 church year. 

† CHRISTMAS PROGRAM  The Christian Education Board is considering plans for this year’s winter plans, including the annual Children’s Christmas Program.    We would like to hear from families with children about your interest in participating in a program, either in person or by pre-recording a part for the program.  Please contact the church office by email or phone OR let Sunday School teachers know if your child is interested in participating and what your preferences would be regarding their participation.  Thank you!

† HOBO DINNER  Good Shepherd will be having a Hobo Dinner on Sunday, October 25, at 5:30 pm.  The Fellowship Committee will be providing all the food and it will be served outside.  For more detailed information check your October Newsletter.  If you have any questions please contact Donya M.

† THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY is meeting downstairs in the fellowship hall on Thursdays at 10:00 am.  We are spreading the tables out in an effort to maintain distance and we are wearing masks. Refreshments will not be served.

† MEMORIAL GRAVESIDE SERVICE  The Golden Family did not have an open funeral when Jim Golden passed away due to state ordinance.   Extend family plans to gather Saturday, September 26 for his birthday weekend and will include a graveside memorial service at 3:00 pm at Park Cemetery.  If friends want to come to this outdoor service they are welcome.

† WEDNESDAY MORNING CHURCH  This Wednesday, September 16, at 11:00 am is our next Wednesday morning worship service.  This service  is one where attendees wear masks and it is not a communion service.  The plan at this time is to offer this service on the 1^st and 3^rd Wednesdays of the month. The service will adopt the readings and message of the previous Sunday.
