Announcements — May 16, 2021

† IN OUR PRAYERS  Karen P., recovering from open heart surgery; Ruth B., recovering at home from surgery to remove a tumor on her voice box; Miles P., recovering at home from heart surgery; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† BAPTISM  We rejoice with Clay and Roberta C. at the baptism of their son, Liam C., on Saturday, May 15.  Liam was born October 15, 2020. His sponsors are Bradley and Donya M.  We ask God to bless this family always with His love and grace.

† BAPTISM  We rejoice with Dustin and Melanie P. at the baptism of their son, Nolan P., in the service this morning.  Nolan was born August 26, 2020.  His sponsors are DJ and Jeni D. and Mat and Laurel H.  We ask God to bless this family always with His love and grace.

† SAVE THE DATE – LWML BRUNCH  Ladies, please join us on Saturday, June 5, at 10:30 am on the church patio for brunch.  Children are welcome.

† VBS BULLETIN BOARD  Plans for this year’s VBS, which will be held July 25-29, are underway!  Check out the Christian Education bulletin board in the Narthex.  If you are willing to help with VBS this year please be sure to complete the VBS Volunteer Sign-up Form located on the table under the bulletin board.   The sooner we know who is willing to help, the easier the planning process is.  

† SUNDAY SCHOOL students will be singing in Church today.

† WORSHIP NOTE  We have returned to the practice of kneeling at the Communion rail for the Sacrament.  As always, if you choose to stand you certainly may.  We will no longer be printing song sheets for the service, unless specifically requested.  We are also offering the common communion cup.  The common cup has always been optional  at our church  and will continue to be.  If you would like to offer any feedback we would welcome it.

† VBS BULLETIN BOARD  Plans for this year’s VBS, which will be held July 25-29, are underway!  Check out the Christian Education bulletin board in the Narthex.  If you are willing to help with VBS this year please be sure to complete the VBS Volunteer Sign-up Form located on the table under the bulletin board.   The sooner we know who is willing to help, the easier the planning process is.  

† SUNDAY SCHOOL students will be singing in Church next Sunday, May 16th. Students have been practicing two songs during Sunday School.  The songs are “My God Is So Great” and “Soul’s Celebration”.   We hope you can join us!

† TINY TOT SUNDAY SCHOOL is being offered the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month in the nursery classroom by Doug and Peggy S.  It is a 15 minute class to get the little ones used to coming to Sunday School.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL has split into two groups.  We will have a group for the older students, 3rd grade and above, and a group for those younger than 3rd grade.  We would love to offer a High School class as well for those interested.  Hope to see you at Sunday School!

† VOTERS MEETING  The regular quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held today during the Bible Class hour.
