† IN OUR PRAYERS  Betty K., recovering from knee replacement surgery; Tony Q., recovering from a ruptured appendix,  Maggie C., hospitalized with COVID; Ruth B., recovering at home from surgery to remove a tumor on her voice box; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL The Sunday School students are going to be singing a few songs in church on November 7. Parents should look for a note coming home soon to explain. We look forward to seeing the kiddos for practice at the star of Sunday School each Sunday.

† BIG THANK YOU to Lacy Epperson, Pharmacist at Express RX, who administered flu shots after the service last Sunday.

† HOBO DINNER/TRUNK OR TREAT  The GSLC Fellowship Committee will be hosting a combined Hobo Dinner and Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 30, at 5:00 pm.  There is a sign-up sheet on the round table in the narthex for items needed for the Hobo Dinner and for people who would like spaces for Trunk or Treat.

† QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING The regular quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held next Sunday, October 24, right after the service. Two important items of business during this meeting will be the election of officers and the approval of the budget for the 2022 church year. Here is the slate of officers for 2022:

† MEALS ON WHEELS  Thank you to all those who helped with Good Shepherd’s week to deliver meals.  What a wonderful way to help our community.

† FLU SHOTS  Lacy Epperson, Pharmacist at Express RX, will be offering flu shots today after the service.

† MEALS ON WHEELS  Good Shepherd’s turn to deliver meals will be the week of  October 4.  If you would like to help with this or have questions please contact the new coordinator, Sandy D.  A big thanks to Betty E. who has acted as the coordinator for this ministry for many years.

FLU SHOTS  Lacy E., Pharmacist at Express RX, will be offering flu shots after the service next Sunday, October 10 at the church. For more information check the October Newsletter. There are forms available on the round table in the narthex that can be filled out ahead of time.

† JR CONFIRMATION CLASS is being held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation will be provided to each new Confirmand, but each student will need to bring their own Bible to class.
