Announcements — January 9, 2022

† IN OUR PRAYERS  Ed E., at Webb City Health and Rehab;  Megan M., safety during this pregnancy; Maggie C., recovering from COVID; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† LWML BUNCO PARTY  All adult women are invited to attend the Bunco Party hosted by LWML today at 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  Plan to have a fun afternoon playing Bunco with the great women of Good Shepherd!  Please, bring a snack to share!

† DISASTER RELIEF  The Missouri District of the LCMS is collecting funds to aid relief efforts for those Missourians who have been effected by the storms of Dec. 10 that damaged many homes, businesses and churches in Missouri and other states.  The money collected will be used in MO but any funds over and above what is needed here will be given to the Mid-South District, which includes the hard hit area of western Kentucky.  We will take up a collection  today.  Checks may be made payable to Missouri District LCMS with Disaster Relief in the memo line.

† WORSHIP REMINDERS 

The rows in the back half of the sanctuary remain roped for those for whom spacing is a concern.

The offering plate is located at the back of the sanctuary.

Once again we will be using the attendance books.

If you would like to offer any feedback we would welcome it.

† PORTALS OF PRAYER  The new Portals of Prayer for the winter are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.

† IN OUR PRAYERS  Ed E., at Webb City Health and Rehab;  Isabella (Getta and Alvin’s foster child), thankful for positive tests results; Gage M., recovering at home; Megan M., safety during this pregnancy; Maggie C., recovering from COVID; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM  Thank you to all the children and families who worked so hard to make this year’s Christmas program a success! You all did such a great job, and I am so proud of every one of you!!! – Petra

† THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS will not meet this Thursday.  The class will resume again on Thursday, January 6.

† SPECIAL SERVICES

– 7:00 pm Friday night, Christmas Eve Candlelight Service with Holy Communion.

– 10:00 am Saturday, Christmas Day Worship Service with Holy Communion.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM  This year’s Christmas program, “The Friendly Beasts”, will  be held tonight at 6:00 pm.  Please join us as the children show you how the animals took a part in the birth of Jesus.  The students have worked hard and are very excited to share the   story of Jesus’ birth with their church family!  There will be refreshments for everyone to enjoy following the program.
