Announcements — March 6, 2022

† IN OUR PRAYERS  Rhonda N., dealing with health issues from hyperthyroidism; Maggie C., recovering from COVID; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† ST PATRICK’S DAY FELLOWSHIP DINNER   The Fellowship Committee is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Thursday, March 17, at 6:00 pm.  The dinner will feature corned beef and cabbage.  Drinks and desserts will be provided.

† DEVOTIONALS  We have devotional books to share with the congregation this Lent season.  “In View of God’s Mercy” devotional books are available in the Narthex on the table by the nursery.  Please take only one copy per family.

† LENT started Wednesday, March 2, with our Ash Wednesday services.  We will once again have weekday services each Wednesday at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm throughout Lent. Be sure and utilize these services as part of your Lenten observance.

† MEALS ON WHEELS  Thank you to all those who helped with the Over 60 Center meal delivery this past week.  What a great way to help support our local community!

† MEAL TRAIN  There is a meal train set up for Pastor and Megan.  We are asking for 3 meals a week.  You can find the link on Good Shepherd’s Facebook page or Donya M.’s Facebook page.  Personal invitations can be sent by email, there is a sign up on the table in the narthex.  If you have any questions please contact Donya M.

The rows in the back half of the sanctuary remain roped for those for whom spacing is a concern.

The offering plate is located at the back of the sanctuary.

† IN OUR PRAYERS  Elise M., as she is officially adopted by Gretta and Alvin M. on March 1; The S. family, at the death of Jennifer’s father; Rhonda N., dealing with health issues from hyperthyroidism; Maggie C., recovering from COVID; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† CONGRATULATIONS We rejoice with Pastor and Megan at the birth of their son, Peter Conrad M., who was born on Sunday, February 20.

† LENT starts Wednesday, March 2, with our Ash Wednesday services.  We will once again have weekday services each Wednesday at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm throughout Lent. Be sure and utilize these services as part of your Lenten observance.

† IN OUR PRAYERS  The R. Family, at the death of Frieda R.; Rhonda N., dealing with health issues from hyperthyroidism; Megan M., safety during this pregnancy; Maggie C., recovering from COVID; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL  The Sunday School children will be singing in the service today.  The students really enjoy sharing the songs they have been working on with their congregation.

† MEALS ON WHEELS  Good Shepherd’s turn to deliver meals will be the week of February 28.  If you would like to help with this or have questions please contact the new coordinator, Sandy D.

Announcements — February 13, 2022

† IN OUR PRAYERS  The E. Family, at the death of Ed E.; Megan M., safety during this pregnancy; Maggie C., recovering from COVID; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL  The Sunday School children will be singing in the service next Sunday, February 20.  The students have been working on the songs during the opening of Sunday School.

† MEALS ON WHEELS  Good Shepherd’s turn to deliver meals will be the week of February 28.  If you would like to help with this or have questions please     contact the new coordinator, Sandy D.

† CARTHAGE CROSSLINES  Good Shepherd has a long history of supporting    Crosslines of Carthage through monthly donations of food and supplies. Sue S. has recently volunteered to take a more active role in this project.  She has done some checking on their current needs, and of course food is always appreciated, but they are really in need of toiletry items.  So watch for some new containers to be placed in the narthex to collect both food and toiletries for Crosslines.
