† THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM will be held next Sunday, December 17, at 6:00 pm.  We are rehearsing during the Sunday school hour.  Please make sure to join us that evening to hear the children tell the story of our Savior’s birth.

† MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES  As in recent years, Good Shepherd will provide midweek worship services at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm each Wednesday during Advent.  The next Advent service will be this Wednesday, December 13.  Please join us!

† SPECIAL SERVICES

– 7:00 pm Sunday, Christmas Eve Candlelight Service with Holy Communion.

– 9:00 am Monday, Christmas Day Worship Service with Holy Communion.

† POINSETTIAS  If you would like to purchase a poinsettia(s) to help adorn the sanctuary at Christmas, please use the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex and prepay Diana Endicott.  The cost is $10.00 each.

† OFFERING ENVELOPES  The 2024 offering envelopes are on the round table in the narthex.  Please remember to discard your 2023 envelopes and use only the 2024 envelopes beginning on Sunday, January 7.  If you do not see your name and want envelopes, please contact the church office.

† PORTALS OF PRAYER  The new Portals of Prayer for the winter are on the table by the nursery in the narthex.

† LWML CHRISTMAS PARTY The LWML will be going Christmas Caroling to some of our church members this Tuesday, December 5. This will be their Christmas party this year. It will start at 5:00 pm at the church and end with dinner at Taste of Italy in Carthage. All ladies are welcome to join us!

† TREASURER NOTE For the eleven months ended November, our expenses totaled $199,388 and our income totaled $205,823 leaving us with a surplus of $6,435. Our December challenges include the insurance premium for 2024 which is due middle of the month and completing our District Support goal of $5,000, of which we have $3,000 still outstanding.

† THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM will  be held the evening of Sunday, December 17.  The children will be practicing the songs during Sunday School time and the first rehearsal is coming soon.  If you would like your      children to participate, please let us know as soon as possible.  You can do this by letting your child’s Sunday School teacher know, by contacting Donya M., or you can contact the church office by phone at 358-1325 or email at goodshepherd@ecarthage.com.
