† A SWEATER FOR CHRISTMAS  The children’s Christmas Program will be held this evening at 6:00 pm.  The children are excited to share the story of the Saviors birth with their congregation.  Please join us.

† MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES  The next Advent service will be this Wednesday, December 17, at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm.

† ADVENT DEVOTIONALS  “The Clothing of the King” devotionals books are available in the Narthex on the information table next to Portals of Prayer. The new Winter Portals of Prayer are also there.

† LFCS SEASON OF SHARING  Thanks to everyone who took an ornament to  sponsor a child connected to Lutheran Family and Children’s Services.  The unwrapped items went to their office last week and they were very appreciative of our efforts.

† OFFERING ENVELOPES  The 2026 offering envelopes are on the round table in the narthex. Please remember to discard your 2025 envelopes and use only the 2026 envelopes beginning on Sunday, January 4.  If you do not see your name and want envelopes, please contact the church office.

† MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES  As in recent years, Good Shepherd will provide midweek worship services at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm each Wednesday during Advent.  The next Advent service will be this Wednesday, December 10.

† ADVENT DEVOTIONALS  “The Clothing of the King” devotionals books are available in the Narthex on the information table next to Portals of Prayer.  Please only take one copy per family.

† MEALS ON WHEELS  Thanks to everyone who helped deliver meals last week.

† LWML will host their annual caroling party on December 9.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged  to attend this fun event!  Meet at the church around 5:00 pm to carpool.  Festive attire is encouraged!  Need not be able to sing to attend!  Following caroling, we’ll head to Mis Arcos for dinner.

† TREASURER NOTE  For the eleven months ended this November our paid expenses totaled $223,629 while our income totaled $214,236 leaving us with a deficit of $9,393.  Our budgeted income and expenses year to date is $223,431.  Please note that the income figure does include offerings on 11/30.  Please also note that we have not yet made our 4^th quarter contribution to the Missouri District.  That budgeted quarterly amount is $1,250.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM This year’s Christmas program will be held the evening of Sunday, December 14, at 6:00 pm.  Practice started last week during the Sunday School hour.  If you would like your children to participate, please come and join us for practice.

† ROCK has been moved to Donya M.’s house starting at 5:30 pm with dinner and ending around 6:30 pm so everyone can make it to Advent services.  All children are welcome (and parents)!!!

† SUNDAY SCHOOL  We are in need of two individuals who would be willing to alternate weeks teaching our 6^th through 12^th grade Sunday School students.  This commitment would start in January and go through May.  If you are       willing to serve our congregation in this manner please contact Kayla H.

† THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE  Be sure to join us this Wednesday, November 26, at 7:00 pm, for our Thanksgiving Eve Service with Holy Communion.

† LFCS SEASON OF SHARING The tree in the narthex has ornaments provided by the Joplin area Lutheran Family and Children’s Services.  These ornaments are for a specific child.  If you would like to sponsor that specific child, please take the ornament and it will have their age, size, and interests.  Then purchase gifts for that child for up to $75 total.  It might be helpful for two or three families to share an ornament.  The unwrapped items need to be back under the tree by Sunday, December 7.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL TABERNACLE PROJECT Make sure to take a look at what the older Sunday School class has been working on for the last several weeks.  The project is set up on display in the narthex.
