† IN OUR PRAYERS  Shirley N., recovering from back surgery; Dr. Raymond G., recovering from knee surgery;  Leah  E., the  C.’s granddaughter, dealing with Thyroid Cancer; Jim B., undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer; Stephen Ministry and their care receivers.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL  We are in need of two individuals who would be willing to alternate weeks teaching our 6^th through 12^th grade Sunday School students.  This commitment would start in January and go through May.  If you are       willing to serve our congregation in this manner please contact Kayla H.

† THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE  Be sure to join us this Wednesday, November 26, at 7:00 pm, for our Thanksgiving Eve Service with Holy Communion.

† LFCS SEASON OF SHARING The tree in the narthex has ornaments provided by the Joplin area Lutheran Family and Children’s Services.  These ornaments are for a specific child.  If you would like to sponsor that specific child, please take the ornament and it will have their age, size, and interests.  Then purchase gifts for that child for up to $75 total.  It might be helpful for two or three families to share an ornament.  The unwrapped items need to be back under the tree by Sunday, December 7.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM This year’s Christmas program will be held the evening of Sunday, December 14.  We will start practicing during the Sunday School hour today.  If you would like your children to participate, please come and join us for practice.  If you have any questions please contact Kayla H.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL TABERNACLE PROJECT Make sure to take a look at what the older Sunday School class has been working on for the last several weeks.  The project is set up on display in the narthex.

† ROCK has been moved to Donya M.’s house starting at 5:30 pm with dinner and ending around 6:30 pm so everyone can make it to Advent services.  All children are welcome (and parents)!!!

† TREASURER NOTE For the ten months ended this October, our paid expenses totaled $203,863 while our income totaled $195,368 leaving us with a deficit of $8,495.  Our budgeted income and expense year to date is $203,119.

† HOBO DINNER  Thanks to the Fellowship Committee and everyone who helped put the wonderful Hobo Dinner together last Sunday.  What a fun evening of fellowship.

† SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM  This year’s Christmas program will be held the evening of Sunday, December 14.  We will start practicing songs during Sunday School soon.  Parts will need to be assigned, so we would love to know which children would like to be involved.  If you would like your children to participate please let us know as soon as possible.  You can do this by letting your child’s Sunday School teacher know,  by contacting Kayla H., or you can contact the church office by phone at 358-1325 or email at goodshepherd@ecarthage.com.

† HOBO DINNER  The Fellowship Committee will be hosting a Hobo Dinner on tonight at 5:00 pm.  Bring your own pot to eat from (anything but a bowl) and join us for a hobo soup dinner.  Please bring some soup to contribute.  We encourage you to come dressed in your “best” Hobo attire.
