SOFTBALL GAMES<\/strong>\u00a0 The Co-Ed team will play Monday evening at 6:30 and the Men\u2019s team will play Tuesday at 6:30 pm.<\/p>\n

THE ELDERS\u2019<\/strong> meeting date has been changed again to allow Pastor and Michael G. to attend the Southwest Missouri Circuit meeting on the 21st to elect the circuit delegates to the next Missouri Synod national convention.\u00a0 The new meeting date will be Monday evening, Sept. 28th, at 7:00.\u00a0 The church Trustees are also asked to attend.<\/p>\n

WORK DAY AT S.\u2019S<\/strong>\u00a0 Anyone wanting to help cut\/split firewood for the Jeremy S. family is asked to meet at Pastor\u2019s house at 9:00 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 26th.\u00a0 Lunch will be provided.\u00a0 Please tell Pastor or put your name on the sign-up sheet if you can help. \u00a0Thank you!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

PASTOR TO SPEAK AT PURDY<\/strong>\u00a0 Next Sunday, Pastor will be a guest speaker at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, Purdy, for their 125th anniversary as a congregation.\u00a0 He will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service and Dr. Wallace Schulz, former Lutheran Hour Speaker and Vice-president of Synod, will speak at the 2:00 p.m. service.\u00a0 A dinner will be served at noon and a light lunch will follow the afternoon service.\u00a0 You are invited to celebrate with them.<\/p>\n

THE REV. DR. DAVID JOHNS<\/strong> will be our guest speaker next Sunday while Pastor and Gerry are at Purdy.\u00a0 Pastor Johns is retired and living in Joplin.\u00a0 We are glad to have him back again.<\/p>\n

WOMEN\u2019S BIBLE STUDY<\/strong>\u00a0 How can studying the life of David help us in our lives today?\u00a0 We are about to find out in a ladies bible study entitled, Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed.\u00a0 This class\u00a0will meet for seven weeks with prayer, fellowship, and a DVD session covering the life and reign of David.\u00a0 Not only will we get\u00a0a deeper understanding of this great man and his relationship with the Lord, but we will also hopefully gain a deeper relationship with God and each other.\u00a0 Sign up in the narthex\u2014cost is $15.00 for the workbooks.\u00a0 We will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights beginning this week, Sept. 22nd, here at the church.\u00a0 Call Lora S.\u00a0 for more information.\u00a0<\/p>\n

THURSDAY AM BIBLE STUDY<\/strong> has decided not to meet through the month of September.\u00a0 They will resume their study of the Book of Romans on the first Thursday in October.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

MEN\u2019S RETREAT<\/strong>\u00a0 October 9th & 10th\u00a0 are the dates planned for a Men\u2019s Retreat at Pelican Landing in Oklahoma.\u00a0 The cost is $15.00, plus the cost of the food.\u00a0 There is a sign up sheet in the narthex, and if you have any questions, contact Sonny E.

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0 Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 a.m. service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0 Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n
