REMEMBER IN PRAYER:\u00a0<\/strong> The family of Dallie H. after her death last week; Thelma M., in Freeman Hospital; Marty J., Ann L., and Chuck P., undergoing treatment; Bill S., receiving on-going care at St. Luke\u2019s.<\/p>\n

DALLIE H.<\/strong> went to her heavenly home on August 4, 2009, after suffering a stroke.\u00a0 Dallie was born November 20, 1933.\u00a0 A private family service was held here at Good Shepherd and burial was in our church cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 8.\u00a0 May our gracious God bless Jack, her husband, and the rest of Dallie\u2019s family with His comfort.<\/p>\n

OVER-50 GOOD SHEPHERDS<\/strong> will meet this week Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.\u00a0 Bring your favorite finger food and games and join in on the fun.<\/p>\n

GSLC BAND, RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS <\/strong>\u2014 any instrument, any age, any playing level.\u00a0 Dust off those instruments you haven\u2019t played in years, and come join us.\u00a0 Karen promises the youth will go easy on you.\u00a0 New music is on the way, and we need lots of instruments to make it sound really good.\u00a0 Practices have resumed and are on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.\u00a0 Questions?\u00a0 Contact Karen M.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

SOFTBALL GAMES<\/strong>\u00a0 The Co-Ed team plays this Monday at 8:30 p.m. and the men\u2019s team plays Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

SATURDAY LUNCHES<\/strong>\u00a0 There are several opportunities to help with furnishing a light lunch on Saturday to the workers through the end of September.\u00a0 We\u2019ve made it so, if you choose, up to three families can share in this responsibility per date.\u00a0 Just pick a Saturday and sign your name and phone number.\u00a0 Your willingness is greatly appreciated.\u00a0<\/p>\n

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0 Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0 Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.\u00a0 They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE<\/strong>\u00a0 After each service, at the table in the narthex, you have the opportunity to have your blood pressure taken.\u00a0 You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
