\nMen: A group study based on The Courageous Bible Study, will be led by Darren G. This group will meet in the Conference Room.
\nWomen: Your Strong Suit, based on Ephesians 6:10-18, will be led by Lee B. and Rhonda N.<\/p>\n

SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY DAY TODAY<\/strong> The always fun and much anticipated balloon launch will be at 9:30 am and then the children will go to their new classrooms and meet their new teachers. Under the Big Top of God\u2019s Love is the Rally Theme and after lunch there will be a circus parade of trikes, bikes, and wagons, plus a couple of circus acts. Then on to some really neat carnival games for a very fun filled afternoon. You won\u2019t want to miss any of it!!<\/p>\n

CONGREGATIONAL COOKOUT<\/strong> Plan to join us for a cookout, put on by the Youth Group, today after the late service. There are hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats hot off the grill. This is a fundraiser to help fund their trip to Texas next summer for the National Youth Gathering. For a suggested donation of $4.00 you will get your choice of two meats, chips, drink and dessert.<\/p>\n

JR. CONFIRMATION CLASS<\/strong> for those in the 7th and 8th grades will begin Wednesday, September 12, at 6:30 pm. Pastor will meet with the parents today after both services to answer any questions and to give an overview of the class.<\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS<\/strong> We rejoice with Dustin & Karleigh P. who were blessed with a baby boy Friday, Aug. 31. Boyd P. weighed 9 lbs. and was 22 inches long. His paternal grandparents are Chuck & Karen P. and his great-grandfather is Jack H. May the Lord bless & keep this new family.<\/p>\n

PARENTING FAMILIES: FROM ME TO WE<\/strong> This newly offered study, produced by The Lutheran Hour Ministries, will be led by Earl K. The group will meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm beginning this week. Please use the sign up sheet on the round table in the narthex if you are interested in attending. We need to get an idea of how many to plan for.<\/p>\n

SOFTBALL<\/strong> The co-ed team will play Monday evening at 7:30. The men\u2019s team will play Tuesday evening at 6:30.<\/p>\n

THROUGH THE BIBLE IN A YEAR<\/strong> On the round table in the narthex are sign up sheets for the two Bibles that can be used for reading through the Bible in a year starting the 1st of October. One includes a devotion for each day\u2019s reading as well as \u201cinsight\u201d information about Biblical times. Its cost is $17.00. The other choice is a child\u2019s version, so they too can join in reading through the Bible. Its cost is $20.00, including a reading guide.<\/p>\n
