{"id":784,"date":"2012-04-22T09:43:13","date_gmt":"2012-04-22T15:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gslc-carthage.dreamhosters.com\/?p=784"},"modified":"2012-04-22T09:43:13","modified_gmt":"2012-04-22T15:43:13","slug":"announcements-april-22-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gslc-carthage.org\/?p=784","title":{"rendered":"Announcements &#8212; April 22, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>IN OUR PRAYERS<\/strong>\u00a0 Don ., undergoing treatment for cancer; Kes K., recovering from surgery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OUR THANKS<\/strong> to the Sunday School children and their leaders for singing for us today in the late service.\u00a0 It is always appreciated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOARD OF EDUCATION<\/strong>\u00a0 The Board is meeting next Sunday after the late service and you are invited to join us as we seek to make the education programs for our children the best we can.\u00a0 Lunch is provided, so come on down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VOTERS\u2019 MEETING<\/strong>\u00a0 The regular Voters\u2019 meeting for April will be held at 7:00 p.m. next Sunday.\u00a0 Along with our regular business, a final decision will be made on having one worship service this summer at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday School at 10:45 a.m.\u00a0 Come join us for this important meeting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REMINDER GRADUATES<\/strong>\u00a0 Please get those bios and pictures into the church office for next month\u2019s Shepherd\u2019s Staff\u2026.We don\u2019t want to miss anyone!<\/p>\n<p><strong>FAMILY CAMPOUT PLANNED<\/strong>\u00a0 Wishin\u2019 to go fishin\u2019?\u00a0 Here\u2019s your chance for some great family time along with some great fishing time.\u00a0 A \u201cfamily campout\u201d is planned for May 4-5 at Dale &amp; Leann Beshears\u2019 property south of Lockwood.\u00a0 (map provided)\u00a0 There is a large stocked pond with room to camp for the night.\u00a0 Contact Dale with any questions.\u00a0 Let us know if you\u2019re interested by signing your name on the sign up sheet in the narthex.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>MARRIAGE RETREAT<\/strong>\u00a0 Plans are being made for a marriage retreat on May 11-12.\u00a0 If you have an interest in attending, please write your name and phone number on the specified sheet in the narthex.\u00a0 More information is in the April Shepherd\u2019s Staff.\u00a0 You may also visit with Darren or Kara Gallup, who are heading up the retreat.\u00a0 The retreat will be at the Meadows Resort in Branson, MO.\u00a0 There will be no cost to you for the room.\u00a0 Limited space, so sign up now!<\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service.\u00a0 You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace.\u00a0 We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CD\u2019S AND TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0 Audio tapes and CD\u2019s of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.\u00a0 They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.\u00a0 They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IN OUR PRAYERS\u00a0 Don ., undergoing treatment for cancer; Kes K., recovering from surgery.
