THRIVENT ELECTION DAY<\/strong> Ballots for the election of chapter officers for 2012 for the Southwest Missouri Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are on the card table in the narthex. \u00a0Thrivent benefit and associate members (age 16 and older) are eligible to vote. \u00a0Please place your marked ballot in the basket provided. \u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n

THANK YOU<\/strong> to everyone who helped with the work day yesterday. \u00a0What you did to help is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n

MOTHER\u2019S DAY OUT DEC. 11<\/strong> If you want to go Christmas shopping without your children, the youth group will baby sit for you on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 11, from 1:00 to 5:00 here at the church. \u00a0There will be games, crafts and even snacks for the children while you are shopping to your heart\u2019s content. \u00a0There is a sign up sheet in the narthex to let the youth group know how many to plan for.<\/p>\n

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS\/BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING<\/strong> Next Sunday, Nov. 20, after the late service, there will be an important meeting for all the current teachers and board members. \u00a0Lunch will be provided. \u00a0Anyone interested in helping with the Christian education of our children by teaching or serving on the board are encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n

ASSISTIVE LISTENING<\/strong> If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. \u00a0They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.<\/p>\n

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS<\/strong> are available in the narthex after each service. \u00a0You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.<\/p>\n

PRAYER BEARS<\/strong> are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God\u2019s love, comfort, and peace. \u00a0We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.<\/p>\n

TAPES OF THE SERVICE<\/strong> Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. \u00a0They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. \u00a0Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
